Six New Mounts to Sell in Battle for Azeroth And Where to Get Them

Secret mounts and Bind on Equip mounts have been found in Battle for Azeroth. The good news is that you can farm for them, and you can sell them on the Auction House.

Great Sea Ray, Nazjatar Blood Serpent, Goldenmane’s Reins, Leaping Veinseeker, Captured Dune Scavenger, and Terrified Pack Mule.

Sell all six mounts and earn enough gold to buy the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur

Great Sea Ray

Remember I said you would be “fishing all day in Battle for Azeroth”? Well here is yet another reason why.

The Great Sea Ray mount is Bind on Equip, which means you can sell it on the Auction House.

The best news is that you can fish it up anywhere in Battle for Azeroth, you don’t need to fish in a school of fish.

I found mine within the first few fishing casts.

I don’t know if your fishing skill affects your ability to catch it, but mine was maxed, with a lure on my undermine angler and I found mine in Tirasgarde Sound.

Because mine was caught so early, there were not yet any prices on the Auction House, and so you can see TSM had very little data with which to populate the tooltip.

Since then, the prices have slowed down to a more reasonable rate.

Here’s the latest situation over on The Undermine Journal

You can see that lower population = scarcity = higher prices but some of these are ridiculous.  Here’s that curve

I predict that as players become more aware that this isn’t as rare as the spectral tiger, for example, then prices will settle down to that of a more easily farmed mount like Garn Nighthowl.

So I recommend getting your Great Sea Rays farmed and sold now, and fish up one for yourself later in the expansion.

If you are going to go fishing for these mounts, please notice that they are Unique, therefore you should sell or use your mount before fishing for a second one.

Nazjatar Blood Serpent

Friend Deathpope found this mount about two hours ago, and published this guide

First you need 20 Abyssal Fragment

These are world drops now, unlike Beta where they dropped from a specific mob.

These are NOT bind on pickup and can be bought/sold on the AH.

After collecting 20, you need to find the Altar of the Abyss, which is in Stormsong Valley at 73.50, 23.61 behind a waterfall. At the back of the cave you’ll find the altar.

Clicking the items takes off about 5k hp after it’s crafted, and created Abhorrent Essence of the Abyss, which specifies “Make offering to the Abyssal Flame.”

<You feel a crippling fear, making the offering without a group of powerful allies would be unwise>

The Abyssal flame is in the mine in Stormsong at Warfang hold at 58.88, 85

Killing the elite gives the SUMMONER ONLY the mount Nazjatar Blood Worm, but you will want a party to kill it.

Long story short, look for Abyssal Fragments in the world, buy them cheap on the Auction House, flip them (resell) for profits.

Add the Abyssal Fragment to your TSM Sniper!

Goldenmane’s Reins

This beautiful horse is a Bind on Equip zone drop in BfA.  My guild mate was lucky to find one in Stormsong Valley.

It’s available for Horde and Alliance and can be sold on the auction house.

image: wowhead

Lord Stormsong ordered his cronies to steal this horse from the Norwington Estate in Tiragarde, as he was covetous of its lucious golden mane.

Nice prices!

Where to farm Goldenmane’s Reins

Two good places are the humans located here.  Double bonus: as humans, they also drop gold, and possible cloth and BoE loot

Leaping Veinseeker

Zone drop: Nazmir

Again, Horde and Alliance, BoE, buy and sell on AH.

An evil-looking flying spiderthing.

image wowhead

Best Place to Farm Reins of a Tamed Bloodfeaster

(Leaping Veinseeker mount)

Once again, very healthy prices in the Auction House, up to a million

Captured Dune Scavenger

Zone drop: Voldun

Again, Horde and Alliance, BoE, buy and sell on AH.

Where to Farm Captured Dune Scavenger

I think the Sethrek here are your best bet

Terrified Pack Mule

Zone Drop: Drustvar

Again, Horde and Alliance, BoE, buy and sell on AH.

Where to Farm Chewed-On Reins of the Terrified Pack Mule

Corlain, without a doubt.

This poor mule was around Drustvar when the witches took over. He’s seen too much.

Looks like he is seeing plenty of the Auction House.

Early Preview Mecha-Mogul Mk2

Engineers, you can make this mount.  Detailed guide coming soon.

History

The Gold Queen website was founded in 10.10.2010 TGQ started as a blog, an irregular personal journal of gold making successes, fails, and ideas.

Very soon, we changed from a personal blog to an information website.

Before Cataclysm, we published miniguide ebooks, first focused on younger gold makers with less time on their hands, and then a guide on making gold with companion/battle pets.

In 2015, Amanda joined us, and in 2017, Joey the Gold Dragon came on board. Joey writes blog posts, opinion pieces, and how-to guides. He also answers email and helps promote TGQ branding on Twitter.

In 2016 we released the free goldmaking email course, which became very popular.

In 2016 we also wrote the wildly successful WoD Garrison Gold Guide.

After ghost writing 2 other paid-for gold guides, with Legion launch we started writing a video-based membership website. Always a perfectionist, it becomes ever bigger, and access is available to Patreons while it’s being written.

in 2018 we are being joined by Postremeh as our Media and Communications dude.

Who Are We

Alyzande “Gold Queen”

Alyzande never paid any attention to gold until November 2005, when she got to level 40 and could barely afford her first mount.  Beginning to research gold, she gradually got more into it, first teaching friends, then guild mates as she learned herself.  In 2010, she started a new gold making blog, because of hearing the same questions about gold making all the time.  Trying to think of a name, her young son named her “gold queen” after proudly hearing that his mummy had made a lot of gold in Warcraft.  After leading the server’s biggest guild and spending a few years with server first guilds, she now focuses much more on gold making and bringing guides to you. Her main is a feral druid.

Alyzande believes firmly that everyone should have their own crown and be their own king, queen, tsar, or president in gold making.

Alyzande’s 40-something, mum to two nerdy kids, and lives in the UK. If Warcraft ever made an NPC for her, she’d like to be a very ordinary looking tree, somewhere in Ashenvale forest, but clicking on the tree gives a daily quest of creating a small leaf-fall of gold coins, just enough to cheer up a new player, but not enough that veterans would cause a nuisance.

Joey “Gold Dragon”

Born in a little log hospital in the midwest,  TGD started his quest for in game gold domination when he couldn’t afford his first mount at level 40.

Looking around for information on how to make gold in the game he stumbled along different routes,  making every mistake in the book.  Vendoring greens,  selling items for coppers that were worth gold.   Looking for Gold in all the wrong places.

After finding different sites that only told half the story he was offered a chance to put it all together.  Making his first million he wrong for a long established journal as a ghost writer.   When the journal went defunct he went into semi retirement to ponder and build his gold fortune.

Having known The Gold Queen over the years and watching her success he appreciated the hard work that was offered.  Then an opportunity arrived.  Her majesty needed a staff writer.  Someone who knew how to make gold and to offer that knowledge to others.

So she gave The Gold Dragon an offer he couldn’t refuse.  Join the court or live in his cave and see others make the same mistakes he did.

Along with his 3 furry companions he looks to help when he can,  and to amuse others when necessary.

Posty “Media and Communications Dude”

Posty started his Goldmaking journey November 13, 2014 as he furiously scraped together all the gold he could to have 100k to purchase the Champion’s Treadblade when it became available in game. After getting the mount, and looking at his paltry 200g, he decided it was time to get serious about Goldmaking and found @TheGoldQueen. After subscribing to her newsletter, and reading as many tips and tricks as possible, he’s now made and spent millions of gold in game. If he can, you can! So he works to give-back by helping her Majesty with little tasks and projects around the kingdom.

Posty has been playing World of Warcraft since Vanilla Beta in 2004 when his friends at work pursuaded him to go against his, “Never play a game I have to pay a monthly fee to play” rule. Day one, PostsemreH the warrior was born in Northshire Valley and killed his first Kobold, and has been his main ever since. There are now no other games. He enjoys all aspects of Warcraft and has a to-do list in game that could keep him busy for years with no new content. The first 48 hours of the new expansion are always the most exciting

New places, new crafting, new gathering nodes. Everything has that fresh new car smell.

But walking into a new expansion with a plan will allow you to be ahead of the curve of those
that just get behind the wheel and drive in a random direction.

Prepping for the Trip

With any trip the first thing you would want to do is get your supplies.

1. Clean your banks out for new materials

Depending on the crafting needs you should look to empty between 10-12 slots per profession.
This will give you plenty of room for the required ore, skins, enchanting materials and Expulsom
that will be needed for crafting.

2. Warm up those fishing poles

If you are going to level cooking, you will be fishing (or buying overpriced items from the AH).
the first 50-55 levels require a lot of fish oil that is obtained mostly from fishing and squeezing those
fish.

Get your best fishing poles (Underlight Angler or other + fishing poles) as well as other equipment to get
Your fishing skills as high as possible.

You’re Battle for Azeroth fishing will start at 0 but if you come in with
your best equipment you will end up fishing up less junk and more fish.

Want more info?  Her Majesty talks about it here

3.  Put fuel in the car (and in your body)

Literally millions of people will be attempting to login at the same time.
The doors open for the new expansion for the U.S. and U.K will be launching at the same time.
This means that players from all over the world will be bombarding the login servers at the same time.

Take your time before logging in to eat something,  drink something.    Run an old instance.  Something that
will whet your appetite as the appetizer for the main course when the gates open.

Plan your trip ahead of time

Remember that I told you millions of players will be logging into servers at the same time?
Meaning 100’s of players will be in the same starting areas at the same time.   Killing mobs and gathering
quest items.    Many of the mobs are taggable (tag once then loot if others of your faction kill them).

Still with that many players killing mobs the respawn rate can get quite chaotic.
To Get Pathfinder (and you’re upgraded whistle to zip to discovered flight paths) you will need friendly with the
main factions of the opening zones.  So be prepared to jump from one of the three leveling areas to another.

The first ‘breadcrumb’ quest will tell you to go back to your home city (Stormwind or Orgrimmar) to
start the questline.   Parking the characters you will be starting the expansion pack with can cut a little bit
of travel time.

Having a plan to where you will be sending your gatherers out will allow you to jump ahead.  Suggested routes

Horde:

Tailors:  Nazmir
Herbalism:  All 3 areas are equal for gathering nodes
Skinning:  Nazmir and Zuldazar have a large compact area of mobs to skin
Mining:  Vol’dun has a large amount of flat areas that it is easy to run routes to gather ore

Alliance

Tailors:  Stormstrong Valley or Tiragarde Sound
Herbalism:  Drustvar
Skinning:  All three areas
Mining:  Drustvar has a large central area that has good node circulation

(Hint to patreon members. Look in the legion-gold website to make your gathering that much easier.)

Don’t Neglect Your Past Adventures

There is a temptation to forget about all the previous expansions. But that is one thing that a master gold maker really
excels in being in control of both the past and the present.

Where listing all of your auctions for sale might not net a lot of sales, finishing your daily chores can give you the money base you need.

TSM4 searches (Flips,  Disenchanting,  Vendor lists)

Profession Cooldowns

Garrison and Order Hall follower quests

The key will be to know what to set aside and what chores to finish.

Bring the Snacks

It just isn’t a road trip without munchies. Sandwiches,  sodas, whatever treats you feel like having is important.
Entering a new expansion is no different. Some suggested items to bring with you as you enter the new world

Goblin Gliders
Health Pots
Flasks  (Potion of Prolonged Power)
Guild Standard of Coordination (Guild Vendor)
Cloak of Coordination (Guild Vendor)
Drums (Drums of Rage for 25% Haste Boost)
Food (fighter chow + Crispy Bacon)
Gnomish Army Knife (every prof tool + lvl buff for gathering)
Tomes ( To change your Talents)

Check your Mirrors and Headlights

Before you’re ready to finish start your adventures in the new frontier make sure you

Update your computer drivers
Update your add-ons (manually or via the twitch app)
Read your favorite online journals (Yep,  that’s us right?)

The more prep you do before you get started,  the easier the transition will be as you start your next adventure.

Finally.   Get ready to have fun.

The buildup since the announcement of the new expansion has been strong. The opening 48 hours
won’t make or break your gold making experience. So if you miss an opportunity to jump right in at the start,  you will have plenty chances to make large amounts of gold through the next 12-18 months of the expansion.

So enjoy the trip. Smell the roses and have a safe journey

About The Gold Dragon

The Gold Dragon is part of The Gold Queen’s “royal” court.  He began making gold his way in Azeroth 8+ years ago. Soon he took his menagerie of crafters and gatherers all the way to the legion HQ and beyond.  I’ve always believed in helping people if they ask and showing people that you do not have to be a Goblin Engineer to make gold in World of Warcraft. Many of the lessons I’ve learned in obtaining gold in WoW I’ve also adapted to my personal life. I have gained and spent over 8 million gold. Spending on personal items and helping my guildmates. Dancing on Azerothian mailboxes for gold tips is just a hobby.  I believe that everyone can make gold if they want to!

Five Legion Pets You Should Sell During BFA

There will be many new pets in BFA.  New pets that are exciting and very valuable.

But as the expansion progresses more and more people will leave behind valuable pets
they can sell from legion

Pets you should be selling during Battle for Azeroth

1.   Fledging Warden Owl

The Wardens Emissary vendor sells this battle pet.

Requiring Honored reputation with the Wardens faction.

At the purchase price of 400g and the average price between 3000 and 4000g you can see where
this would be a great investment to keep up on your Auction House Pet listing cycle.

2.   Court Scribe

Found at the Court of Farondis Emissary, the book requires revered with Court the court to purchase

Many players ignore the pets or will just purchase one for personal use.
New players will completely ignore Legion other than to level so these pets could easily
spike in prices as players discover new pet battles in Battle For Azeroth

Your investment of gold has a chance to net between 2,000 to 2500g per sale for a lvl 1 pet

3.   Extinguished Eye

Found at the Nightfallen Emissary many new players will completely avoid the Nightfallen quests.
This sets up a prime opportunity to sell on the Auction House for pet collectors and battlers.

Requiring revered reputation with The Nightfallen this will keep it out of the reach of many
players who have abandoned the Suramar area for greener pastures.

There will be a large spike for this pet once players ‘discover’ it.
Keeping an ‘eye’ on the market can net some very nice profits as the expansion continues.

4.   Ash’ana

Cats have always been special as battle pets in World of Warcraft
Ash’ana is no different.   Requiring revered reputation with The Dreamweavers
cat battle pets are always in high demand.

Costing 400g to acquire,  and the average price hovering at 2000 to 2500g this is a good investment
to keep cycling through the sales on the Auction House as well.

I'm visiting my favorite pet vendors for profits .... Wait til you see what's for sale Click To Tweet

5.  Sunborne Val’kyr

Found at the Valajar Emissary for 400g,  who doesn’t want your own personal Val’kyr to escort
you across the pet battlefield.

400g is a great investment for this pet that can turn a profit of 3x – 5x with each sale.

6.   Hungering Claw

This pet isn’t a vendor pet.  To get access to the raid level boss you need to unlock a quest once per each character.

Currently at 110 it can be soloed by only a few classes with high armor so I would suggest grabbing 2 – 4 people that have access to the quest and get everyone a new pet or mount.

The pet/mount is on rotation with the Fathom Dweller mount which appears once a month.
This gives you around 2-3 opportunities per month to add another mount to your sales.

Since many players have not taken the time to do the extensive questline people who have access to the weekly world quest are the only ones that can sell this pet without flipping it on the Auction House

Depending on the time to gather up a team this pet can easily sell for 50,000g or higher depending on demand.
As Battle for Azeroth develops less and less people will be taking the time to do this raid level boss kill every week for a new pet

Dalaran Pet Vendor

If you are still working your Legion order hall table for missions you will see one mission that appears multiple times a week for Shiny Pet Charms.

Where these won’t be able to be used for the new Battle for Azeroth pets
The shiny pet tokens will still be able to be used for the Legion pets during Battle for Azeroth

The legion order hall quests will still be available in the order hall during Battle for Azeroth.
Many players will ignore their Legion order hall tables for newer grounds.

Bloodthorn Hatchling  for 50 shiny pet tokens

Dusty Sporewing for 50 shiny pet tokens

Glowing Sporebat  for 50 shiny pet tokens

Lost Netherpup  for 100 shiny pet tokens

Pricing you pets for sales

One thing to keep in mind is that when a market is ‘activated’ them the pack will jump and flood the market.   Pets are no different.   But what many players don’t do is to use techniques to level these pets for extra benefits.

Lvl 25 pets are in high demand by players for PVP and PVE battles.  You can easily demand 5-10x the market price for a max level battle pet over the standard lvl 1 pet.   Especially during pet experience weekends you can level a pet up to 25 within an hour

Her majesty gave a very detailed walkthrough on the best way to do this here

Legion content is a Pet Profit Goldmine

Where these pets may not seem ‘rare’ with many players saying goodbye to Legion content never to go back it’s a good time to prepare those trade routes for even if it’s a weekly visit to the legion emissary vendors to stock up on pets to sell.

Good Luck and Good Profit Hunting

Five Cheap Items That You Should Sell For Battle For Azeroth

The closer we get to the opening sequence for Battle for Azeroth the more players
clear out their banks for new items.

Not all items are useless.  Some of these items will be in higher demand during the expansion

1.   Potion of Prolonged Power

Each expansion has more and more powerful potions/elixirs and Flasks.  This was one of the most powerful
burst dps items used in raiding.
At 8-10g per server these can be expected to go much higher once Battle For Azeroth gets started and players enter dungeons.

2.  Goblin Glider Kit

For the past 2 patches we have enjoyed being able to fly just about everywhere in the Warcraft worlds.  But as always,  new expansion means that all of our flying mounts become ground mounts until a later patch.

With large amounts of land to cover with many quests wanting the player to get from one side of the map to the other,  The Goblin Glider kits could become very valuable for travelling needs.

3. Gnomish Army Knife

Now most players will often run to get their first ‘tools’ from the vendor and never think twice about it.
it’s only 50c or so.  But if you have more than one profession then you’re filling up two slots in your bag.
These items tend to go in sales bursts as players discover them.

The other benefit is that you quickly get that +10 boost to your three basic gathering professions.

4.  Netherweave Bags

Currently the extra large (30 slot) bags go from between 1800-2400g per server.   That leaves a pretty big
deficit for new or returning players who have 12 bag slots (8 personal bank + 4 travelling bags) to fill
on new characters.

Smaller bags will be in higher demand.   Netherweave bags (16 slots) are
going on many servers for as little as 13g per bag.

With less than half of that in the cost of materials this can be a market that explodes very quickly
as a tailor and also flipping the bags that are inexpensive right now.

5.  Thermal Anvil

This is one of those items that most players don’t realize that they need it until it’s not there.

Crafting anvils are few and far between in the general questing areas for Battle For Azeroth.
In fact even in the major cities they can be frustrating to find.   But this can be a very popular item
to pop out when you need to do some major crafting.  Combined with your Brutosaur Mount you will
have a nice one two punch of being able to craft and then send the items to be shredded by your
other alts.

Savory Deviate Delight

When you first start out the character that your seeing is impressive.  But after 10 levels of looking at their backside it gets
a little old.

This item transforms you randomly into either a pirate or a ninja.   The pattern used to be rare but seems to drop frequently in the Barrens area anymore.  Still both the pattern and the crafted item can have it’s tendency to be valuable to players who want to roleplay their favorite Shinobi or Captain Sparrow

What other inexpensive or cheap items do you think will sell during the Battle for Azeroth expansion?
Which one of these will explode in profits as players discover new territory and new uses.

How to Instant Respawn Mobs in WOW Easy to Farm Gold, Rares, Mounts, etc in BFA PrePatch 2018!

Umren, a long time friend and Twitch Streamer, just published a guide on how to use your 2nd account to hop from server to server and increase your farming loot drops.

Second Warcraft Account

Guide is easy to follow, and all you need is a second account or a friend on another account willing to help you.

If you don’t have a second account, it’s easy to make one. If you log into your (linked) second account and don’t have any game time, your second account can take gold from your main account to fund the game time.

The gold taken is spread between all your characters on your main account.

Camp Rares on Multiple Servers

  1. Kill the rare mob, loot him
  2. Follow Umren’s guide to hop to a second server
  3. Kill the rare on the next server
  4. Repeat
  5. Profit!

Farm Herbs or Ore on multiple servers

(Why fly to the node, if the node can come to you?)

  1. Find an area in Zuldazar or Kul’Tiras with a high concentration of herbs and ore
  2. Farm the nodes you can find
  3. Follow Umren’s guide to hop to a second server
  4. Farm all the nodes on that server
  5. Repeat
  6. Profit

Want to see where all the herbs and ore are in Battle For Azeroth before the launch?

Join the patreon to get gathering routes like these:

Kill Large Groups of Slow-spawning Mobs

  1. Round up the group of mobs, kill and loot them.
  2. Instead of waiting for respawns, follow Umren’s guide to hop to a second server
  3. Kill the “same” group of mobs on the next server.
  4. Repeat
  5. Profit!

Next step for me is finding some good groups of farmable mobs in BfA where I can put Umren’s ideas to the test. Will you be doing the same?
