With the scheduled release of the next patch for World of Warcraft on December 11th, gold makers are ready to take their next step into the new world.
With the new patch comes new items to buy and sell. One market that always gets good results is the pet market.
New Vendor Equals New Opportunities
The new patch will be introducing a new vendor right next to the where players queue up for Island Expeditions.
Captain Klarisa for the Alliance
Captain Zen’taga for the Horde
The new vendor bring new items to purchase.
A new toy that gives your pet its own ‘Cranky Crab’ mount
Gnarlwood Waveboard that lets you surf across water.
(replacement for the Water Strider mount for those who don’t have exalted with Nat Pagel in Mists of Pandaria)
Hand Anchor that transmogs your weapon into an anchor
Along with new toys comes Two new mounts.
Saltwater Seahorse for 500 Dubloons
Siltwing Albatross for 1000 Dubloons
All of these items will take island expeditions to obtain that many Dubloons.
Many players will want the mounts before they look to purchase the other items.
Gold Found in Pet Sales
Pet sales are a strong part of your gold making machine.
With the new expansion comes two new pets to purchase with dubloons.
Crimson Octopode – 100 Dubloons
Albino Duskwatcher – 200 Dubloons
With many players looking to get the toys and mounts first.
The pets will be able to be sold at a premium on the Auction House
Also with the new Gnomeregan pet battle dungeon opening up, new pets become valuable as players look to add to their stable of pet fighters.
Many players do not want to take the time to gather enough dubloons on a character to be able to purchase these items.
With the average Island Expedition taking between 10 and 15 minutes.
Gathering 100 or 200 dubloons can take a few hours.
Buying one of the pets and dropping it on the auction house will put a nice profit into your pocket.
First listing equals first sale
First one on the Auction House is usually the first sale and sets the bar for sales.
Having a good stock of dubloons going into the patch can set you making gold ahead of everyone else.
Profiting from Leveling
Leveling characters through the expansion starting at level 110 through the island expeditions is popular.
Instead of questing you can be stocking up on these dubloons quickly and efficiently as you race to level 120.
Set Sail to Profits
As December 11th gets closer will you be prepared to set sail, gather profits and enjoy the new world sitting on your own treasure chest.

With Blizzcon starting to fade as a memory, there were some WOW economy items that were announce that might have been missed from all that was unveiled at the extravaganza.
These items will change or allow more opportunities in the game to add to your gold pile.
Introduction To New Allied Race Racials
Both the Zandalari and Kul’ Tiran races received racial bonuses that affect your WOW gold creation
Kul’ Tiran Human Allied Race
Jack of All Trades is similar to the Racials for many of the other Races. The racial ability will boost all crafting professions.
Zandalari Troll Allied Race
Zandalari Trolls will be able to loot more gold per monster looted.
The percentage is still unknown but even 5% more can add up quickly as you are running through quests.
New Dubloon Vendor And New Island Expeditions
With new expeditions comes more opportunities to obtain Expedition doubloons. The panels introduced a new Dubloon Vendor that have BOE pets that can be sold on the AH
From between 100-200 doubloons per pet, you can see where players that don’t want to spend the time doing island expeditions would be very interested in purchasing vanity and battle pets from the auction house.
Heroic Island Expeditions
Along with this new vendor came the introduction of 10 person Heroic Expeditions. A group of players can join at the same time with added rewards and difficulty
Another opportunity for Paid ‘carries’ in a raiding situation. Very lucrative for a guild or a group of like minded players.
Fist Weapon Transmogs
One of the biggest requests for transmog advocates is the ability to change fist weapons into other weapons.
Changes in what can be transmogged always brings on a rush of players to get that ‘cool look’ for their characters.
This gives more opportunities to sell one handed daggers and swords on the auction house.
Whomper – New Charity Benefit Pet
Whomper is the new pet that Blizzard sells every year to support a charity. With each adoption a donation is sent to Code.org to support empowering schools with access to high technology and empowering females and minority in the realms of technology
Spending a little of that in game gold can help support an excellent non-profit organization.
Days of Blizzcon Gold Making

Day of the Dead Gold Guide 2018
Day Of the Dead is an event that occurs starting November 1st through the 3rd
This event is built around the real world holiday of Day of the Dead where some religions honor their dead
Day of the Dead: The Questline
The event centers around visiting a local graveyard for your race and accepting a quest as you give offerings to your ancestors
Quest Requirements
Level 5 (minimum to get cooking skill needed for Bread of the Dead)
1 gold (to buy recipe needed and also materials needed plus flight if needed)
Day of the Day Quest:
To finish the quest easier make sure to go to a cooking trainer in a major city and pick up
1 simple flour (since you have to buy 5, you can mail them to each of your alts to save a small amount)
Go to a local inn in a major city and pick up
1 Ice Cold Milk (again you buy these in stacks of 5 so send the extra to your alts)
While you are at this, make sure that you have trained your cooking skill to level 1.
If you want to pick up a few levels you can buy the materials and make some extra.
The Graveyard that you need to visit is based on your race.
The Bread of the Dead is not able to be mailed or placed on the Auction House since it is a time limited item.
When you reach your designated Graveyard you will find a small bluish fire pit
– Pro tip. If you are level 10 you can die in your home city and then you will be sent to the graveyard faster.
You are able to resurrect up to level 10 without any resurrection sickness penalty.
This is Ghostly Cooking Fire that is needed to produce one loaf of the Bread of the Dead.
Buy two things from Chapman who is the vendor for the Day of the Dead items and has the items you need.
Purchase a Bread of the Dead and a either a Orange Marigold or a Bouquet of the Orange Marigolds.
The Orange Marigold is a one use item while the Bouquet of the Orange Marigolds is a transmog item that
can be used during the event
One you have crafted your Bread of the Dead click on the Orange Marigold to bring out the spirits for the quest.
Now pick up the quest which is simply to give them a loaf of your Bread of the Dead
After you have given them the turn in
Enjoy you’re new pet
Advanced Gold Making Opportunities
This event is a good opportunity to get a lot of cageable pets that can be sold on the AH.
Ease of access means that there will be a large amount on the AH at any given time.
The goal is to raise the sale price of your pets during the event as well as after
Raising the Sale Price Of Your New Pet
Use a Flawless Battle stone to raise your pet to Rare Quality
Level your pet to Level 25 either via pet battles or using Pet Leveling stones
This can raise your asking price by 5x to 10x the normal price
Other Opportunities Of Making Gold During The Event
Selling Single Milk and Single Flour on the Auction House
Players many times do not remember where the simple cooking vendor is or choose to just buy items quickly from the Auction House
Pricing these 10 times the normal vendor price can bring in some gold into your account quickly.
Creating multiple low levels to finish the quest.
This is a more questionable method to making gold but it is an option. Some may consider this taking advantage of the game.
You have multiple options of creating characters that can finish the questline quickly
– Allied races start at level 20
– Normally created characters can level to 5 quickly in their starting zones.
– Death Knights start at level 55
Once you reach the point that you can use a flight path on the upper level you can quickly fly to the zone that you need to finish the questline
(Undead race is the quickest since you are not that far from the Undercity graveyard)
Once you have finished the questline you can decide whether to keep the character or delete it and start again.
Selling ‘rides’ and ‘portals’ to the different graveyards.
Some new players will have some difficulty reaching their graveyard. This is a prime opportunity to sell your abilities and escort them to where they want to go.
Charging 100g to 500g per ride can add up quickly. If you are a mage, setting up portals to main cities can net a tidy profit
Celebrating Day of the Dead with Gold
The Day of the Dead event is an excellent opportunity to enjoy both the culture of the event as well as netting a profit both during and after the event. So enjoy the days and break some bread with your game ancestors.

Warlords of Draenor Farming During Hallows End
These are the same areas that you can do the four quests that give you the four quests to complete in this area
After you pick up the quests fly to the designated area.
Culling the Crew – Kill 12 Boneship Crewmembers
Foul Fertilizer – 8 Kegs of Dread Fertilizer
Smashed Squashlings – Kill 6 Growing Squashlings
The entire quests in that area requiring killing mobs including one on the middle of the three ships in the water
Completing the fourth of your quests
Mutiny on the Boneship – Kill Bonerender
A flying mount makes this trip easier though it is possible to swim and climb up the side of the ship.
Finishing these quests will get you 5 Spooky Supplies (we will use these when we get back to our Garrison)
When you go back to the small island all the mobs on this island has a chance to drop the Coin of Many Faces
A ranged player (Warlock, Hunter, Shaman) can stand in one place and hit most of the mobs as they respawn.
The important part is to make sure to loot often because the mobs have a habit of despawning from time to time.
A good 30 minutes of farming can easily net you 5-8 Coins of Many Faces.
Just as any other event, players will list these on the AH often.
But holding them while the supplies dwindle can bring a premium to your farming
Rare Pet Farming
Remember those spooky supplies that we collected finishing those quests?
Here is where we will be using them.
First after you have turned in the quests go to the vendor to the right
Purchasing the Creepy Crawlers and right clicking it in your bag decorates your garrison
This gives you access to some new pet battles
3 different undead pets
Where these can be powerful undead pets they are not cageable/tradeable. But you can invite others into your garrison to have access
You never know if someone might be interested in paying to battle pet in your garrison to pick these up for their collection.
Arachnis
Along with the three new pets, a new rare will be right outside your garrison
Where this rare spider respawns quickly it is locked to one kill per character per day
Arachnis drops a couple of very special items
The regular sack of spiders is the more common of the two drops and is a single use item.
The Sack of Spectral Spiders is a toy that can be dropped on the Auction House for sale.
With a low drop rate on many servers the price of this item can reach 4,000 gold or more.
Keep in mind that after the event keep your Hallows End ornaments up so you can still access the three ghost pets as well as Arachnis even after the Hallows End event is done.
Hallows End profit
The Hallows End event can set you up for added profit not just during the event but also after the event. With just a little time spent in Draenor you can add toys, pets to your auction house profit rotation.

The Hallows End Event occurs goes from the 18th of October to November 1st.
Full of different quests to obtain tricky treats. Not just candy but also to turn in for transmog items, pets and toys for your collection.
Large amounts of gold can be obtained through the event and even as the Headless Horseman leaves for another year.
The Currency
Obtaining the Tricky Treats and Other Items
There are Multiple ways to obtain Tricky Treats during the Hallows End Event
Finishing Daily Quests found in multiple zones
– Under the Crooked Tree questline starting in Dalaran and ending in Valshara
Defeat Aria Sorrowhart and open up her Hag’s Belongings + 6 Tricky Treats
This is an available Daily quest
This nets you 6 Tricky Treats total plus a chance at one of four Holiday Transmog cloth Hats (Bind on Pickup)
For Horde in Undercity (make sure to talk to Zidormi to turn back time)
For Alliance in Stormwind these quests are available daily
A Time To Build Up + 1 Tricky Treats A Time To Break Down + 3 Tricky Treats
One time Quests in Undercity/Stormwind
Hallows End Treats for Jesper (Alliance) + 10 Tricky Treats
Hallows End Treats for Spoops (Horde) + 10 Tricky Treats
Daily Quests also in Stormwind (Alliance) or Undercity (Horde)
Clean Up In Undercity (Horde) +3 Tricky Treats
Clean Up in Undercity (Alliance) +3 Tricky Treats
Stink Bombs Away (Both) +10 Tricky Treats
Finishing this area can net you
18 Daily Tricky Treats
10 Tricky Treats from the One time quest (Jesper or Spoops)
For Horde in either Eversong Woods, Tirisfal Glades (turning back time with Zidormi)
For Alliance in either Azuremyst Isle, Elwynn Forest or Dun Morogh
From the Matron found in these areas
Let the Fires come (Pick up Quest from Matron before defeating the Headless Horseman fire event)
Fire training +1 Tricky Treat
(One time quest. If you have done it in previous years it will not appear)
After you put out all the fires you defeat the Headless Horseman which gives you the quest to turn in
Smash the Pumpkin – + 5 to 7 Tricky Treats from Crudely Wrapped Gift
From either of these zones you can net 7-9 Tricky Treats every day.
Queuing for Headless Horseman Every Day
(level 98 or higher are the only ones that can get the loot filled pumpkin
After Defeating the Headless Horseman you receive
When you open this you can receive 4-6 tricky treats
This can also be done daily.
As a bonus you can receive
This is a very good tool during the holiday (it disappears afterward the holidays) because it is instant cast
so going from Farming node to Farming node can be a little bit quicker.
If you finish all of the single and daily quests available plus picking up all of the candy from the different points around the different zones you can easily net between 550-600 Tricky Treats.
Wise choice of what to purchase with these Treats will be important for future sales
Out of the box gold making from Hallows End
There are different ways of making gold with the Hallows End event.
– If you have a two seated mount you can escort lower level players to the different candy spots for a charge
– Many of the different achievements require specific wands to be used. These wands drop from multiple items
during the event and charging 5g to 25g can add profit into your pocket
Pet Sales
There are four pets that can be obtained and sold during the event.
Sinister Squashling
Sold for 150 Tricky Treats at the Tricky Treat Vendor (Stormwind/Undercity)
This is the most commonly found from the different candy drops so is very common
Widget the Departed
150 Tricky Treats from the Undercity/Stormwind Vendor
Naxxy
150 Tricky Treats from the Undercity/Stormwind Vendor
Cursed Birman
150 Tricky Treats from the Undercity/Stormwind Vendor
Looking at all of the tradeable/sellable pets from the event the Sinister Squashling is the most commonly found
(it drops from many of the treat bags and from the Loot Filled Pumpkin).
The other three can be very profitable to purchase. Storing these in your bank and selling later as the months go by
You can set a higher price as players want the pet but the higher priced ones are not as available.
Adding Value To Your Pet Sales
Many pets are added to the Auction House during and after the Hallows eve event. Most end up being the Sinister Squashling which can drive the value down considerably.
There are multiple ways of adding value to your pet sales
– Offering ‘Bundled’ pet deals in trade chat
Many players will not want to take the time to obtain enough Tricky Treats to purchase all of the pets. With four pets plus multiple toys and other masks it is impossible for a player to get enough Tricky Treats to purchase everything. With being able to cage and sell the four pets sold this could relieve the need for players to obtain enough treats for these four.
You could easily bundle all four pets for 100,000g or more and with a little patience net good sales.
– Leveling pets to sell
Right now with the new expansion it takes between 13-15 pet battles to level a lvl 1 pet to lvl 25.
Add the different boosting items (pet treats, battle pet holidays) and this time gets shortened.
Players are willing to pay higher for strong pets that are already leveled.
4x to 10x profits from normal pets if a player takes the time to finish a few pet battles
(extra hint, if you are leveling a new character you get XP for each pet battle).
My favorite zone to do this is Nazmir around the edges of the water. Having two max level flying type
can eat up these random pet battles very quickly. With each battle lasting 2-5 minutes you can finish
leveling a new pet in under an hour.
Great Holiday Allows Even Greater Profits.
Hallows eve is one of the many events that a shrewd gold maker can use their skills and knowledge to make gold not just during the vent but in the months after the event.

War mode was introduced in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth as a replacement for PVP servers.
This new mode allowed players to participate in World PVP when they wanted too and not be forced
to world PVP.
The Basics of War Mode
War mode allows players to attack other players from the opposite faction. War mode adds the PVP flavor without requiring players to always participate which happened on PVP centric servers.
War mode also adds different ways of profiting from participating in this new mode of play.
To toggle war-mode, a player goes to their major home city (Orgrimmar/Stormwind) then goes to talents portion of their character sheet.
on the far left can be seen the toggle for war-mode as well as different PVP talents that are only activated during this mode.
War mode also has some specific benefits in gold making. Warmode opens up new frontiers as well as
offers bonuses for remaining in PVP mode while venturing out into the world.
Five Ways to Profit from War Mode
1. 10% bonus to war resources
War resources are important when starting quests at your mission table. Each of these mission table can net
reputation tokens, pet charms and gold.
War resources are also used to train troops to help with your table missions
2. 10% to bonus gold
World quests during the Legion expansion became a very lucrative way of making gold in quick bursts. Battle for Azeroth is no different. As the difficulty increases so does the gold rewards.
Warmode offers a 10% bonus to all gold missions. Also included is a bonus to gold dropped from monster kills as well.
3. PVP caches
In random areas across the different zones, PVP chests will drop. These can contain high level gear, resources and gold as well as other items. Once the zone is notified that a chest has been dropped there is mad dash for players to reach these chests to loot them.
4. Zone Sharding And ‘Bonus’ Resource Gathering
New technology was introduced in the Mists of Pandaria expansion that would allow players to be in the same area but be placed in different ‘shards’. This originally was used for content creation but has expanded with the introduction of war-mode.
War-mode places a player in a different shard with other players in war mode. On many servers this lessens the competition for resources as players look to run set routes they have uncovered.
Skinning and Herbalist routes can become much more profitable with less competition. There is a certain amount of challenge presented when being able to be attacked but the risks can outweight the rewards when less gathering competition is involved.
5. 10% Bonus Azerite Power
Where bonus azerite doesn’t specifically affect gold making, it can give you better abilities and make mob farming and survivability when finishing up quests.
Many of the 2nd and 3rd level traits on high gear are built to increase health regeneration as well as defense capabilities. Some of these traits also include speed boosts after killing mobs. Faster kills and movement allow players to farm faster between nodes for mining and Herbalism.
Boosts of speed allow players to get to their skinning targets and move onto the next mob. More resource gathering means more production or sales.
Profiting From Warmode
War-mode is a fun and inviting way of playing World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. It opens up new gold making opportunities as well as adventure in an ever increasing and active gaming world.
