Kaliope at WoW Crafter’s Blog noted that the Enchant 2H Mighty Agility now requires only a Titanium Rod, not a Runed Elementium Rod. Fantastic find! They are selling well on my server, what about yours?
2. Illusionary Bag
I’ve said this before and I’m sure I’ll say it again! Bag Space is one of the finite items in WoW, along with Time. Sure, you can always make more gold, but everyone should have maximum bag space. Imagine missing your loot or being unable to mine your ore because your bags were full!
3. Whiptail Farming
Alto found a sweet whiptail farming spot in Uldum. I’m going to have to take my herbalist to check it out!

The Evil > Lawful scale will be familiar to World of Warcraft roleplayers. I’ve relabelled it for wow gold making, however its origin does raise questions about RP in gold making: Do you RP in character in the Auction House, does your lawful paladin give pots and loot to new players? Yes, I know roleplayers who actually do that! Does your Warlock or Rogue ninja items in raids or practice inethical AH trading?

Resale
Is it ethical to buy the White Kitten for 40s from Lil Timmy in Stormwind, then resell it for 450g in the Auction House? Once, I would have said no. Players would have to save up to afford the item, and would be angry or upset to find it was cheap to buy. Then they would broadcast on /trade that you had ripped them off!

So does that make it ethical to buy the white kitten then repost it with a level one alt instead? It certainly raises some questions about whether it is morally right to use anonymous level one alts for our banking and AH mules.
As WoW and the player bases has matured, gold making has become more acceptable, even expected. This does depend on the server though. For example, on a small RP server, if you fish in my pool, you will be flamed to death for being a thief. A large PVE or PVP server, the reaction would be totally different.
Sourcing
Most of us would agree that buying gold from gold sellers is wrong. But what about the ethics of buying cheap stock from a possible Chinese farmer, or a bot, or from a possible hacked account? My personal opinion, and this is a very personal topic, on which you must form your own opinion, is that I “see no evil”. Unless someone tells me it is a bot, or a farmer, or a hacker, then I go ahead.
I believe in kindness, and in the business law of reciprocity, also known as the life law of karma What goes around, comes around. You get what you give. But I’m not a complete saint, I do slip up from time to time. In this recent post I even bragged about poisoning the AH statistics for my own benefit. Can you forgive me?

What would you prefer to have? Gold now, or More Gold later?
It’s not as simple a question as you first thought, is it. How much gold now? How much gold later? How much later? What would I lose if I choose later? If I choose now, will I get anything at all later? I’ll spare you the long winded ramble about Opportunity Cost. I think you all know that “time is money” and you can’t have your cake (in your hand) and eat it (in your mouth) at the same time. So, time for an executive Warcraft Decision.
The way the Gold Queen learned to do business was as a child playing monopoly. You can cross your fingers as much as you like, you can roll double sixes and you can land on free parking but if you don’t own any property, you won’t get any rent. Houses and hotels are just decoration, if you have no property, then you won’t have any income.
If your stuff is sitting stockpiled in a bank, you’d better be damn sure that it will make you gold in the future, because that gold could be up, working, invested in materials, patterns, or goods for resale sat in the AH, twinkling at new customers.
Ladies and gentlemen, players of Warcraft, get your lazy gold off its lazy backside and working hard for you!

Patch 4.06 is almost upon us, with reports pointing to Tuesday (Wednesday in EU) 8th/9th February. Are you prepared? This post focuses on the gold making opportunities that are coming up for the next World of Warcraft patch.
Inscription

Jewelcrafting
A socket has been added to most crafted epic armor pieces that did not already have one. This is going to drive up, temporarily, the demand for cut gems. Prepare and stock up today.
New Gem: Vivid Dream Emerald. The resilience/spell penetration gem will be in demand for PVPers, but I don’t think it will be wanted much more than any other pvp gem. Perhaps a pvp guru can correct me or back me up here?
New Meta Gem Patterns: Agile Shadowspirit Diamond (Agility/3% critical damage), Reverberating Shadowspirit Diamond (Strength/3% critical damage), and Burning Shadowspirit Diamond (Intellect/3% critical damage). These new recipes are unbound and can drop from any Cataclysm creature. The new meta gems have a requirement of 3 red gems equipped.
Everyone I’ve spoken to has no idea whereabouts these patterns will drop, or how rare they might be. But the best suggestion I’ve heard is “Farm the trade channel”. Expect to offer over 10,000g for the first pattern seen. Expect to get a return on your investment within the first day.
The requirement of 3 red gems is especially going to drive up the demand for inferno ruby. You know what to do: go buy/prospect them now in advance.
These new meta gems are going to need raw Shadowspirit diamonds. This is a great use of the spare common gems you can make from prospecting ore and doing the Cataclysm Obsidium Shuffle. I already have half a dozen full stacks ready for the patch day.
Tailoring
The Illusionary Bag, currently 24 slot, will increase to a 26 slotter. That’s the biggest bag in game, larger than the portable holes. For me, this is a big deal because having big bags is absolutely essential to the way I play. When you hold more items, you don’t have to run back and forth to the mailbox so much. Your personal bank space also increases. If you don’t have a vendor mount then you can also go farming/heroic running/questing for slightly longer, as the bags take longer to fill. And we know that time is money, friend.
Alchemy
The number of herbs required to create flasks has been reduced, while the Volatile Life needed has been increased slightly.
