Battle Pets Gold
Making gold from companion, or battle pets, in Warcraft has always been a gold mine.
Back in 2010-2012, I sold a guide on how to find, farm and sell these as vanity items.
Since the pet changes, of course, the number of pets available has exploded.
There are many more pet sources: Quest, Vendor, Pet Battles, Achievements, Pets caught in the Wild, Blizzard shop pets, TCG pets, even crafted pets.
Please note: Finding, selling, flipping (buy for resale), and other cross-realm tricks will be explained in another post. There are a lot of ways to make gold from pets, this is just one.
Today’s guide is for the very beginner at Pet Battles.
Our aim today is to profit from the differences in prices on the Auction House between level 1 pets, and level 25 pets.
You can profit from this difference by buying (or better, acquiring it for free!) a low price level 1 pet, leveling it, and reselling as a level 25 pet.
Leveling from 1-25

The little girl, Squirt, with her pets Deebs, Tyri & Puzzle give you extra XP and her fight is repeatable. It’s a great opportunity to level your pets without leaving the garrison.
2016 spawn dates
15-Jan, 30-Jan, 14-Feb, 29-Feb, 15-Mar, 30-Mar, 14-Apr, 29-Apr, 14-May, 29-May, 13-Jun, 28-Jun, 13-Jul, 28-Jul, 12-Aug, 27-Aug and every 15 days
29 May and 13 July spawns on a Pet Battle Bonus Weekend giving you even more pet XP, and faster leveling to 25.

Slightly easier is the Enchanted Broom/Weebs strategy. It’s easier to remember too. “Sweep, swap, swap, Cleave until dead, then batter.”

Enchanted Broom (2/2/2)
Carry Pet (Can be ANY level, will not take damage)
Weebomination (1/anything/anything)
Start with Enchanted Broom
Round 1: Sweep
Round 2: Switch to Carry Pet
Round 3: Switch to Weebomination
Round 4-11: Cleave (the back row should die by round 10, death round should trigger on 11)
Round 12: Bring out Enchanted Broom (Puzzle should waste Portal)
Round 13: Batter

- In your addons
- Choose Auctionator // Shopping Lists
- Choose the Import button
- Cut n paste these strings into 5 different groups
(Remember, you can click an image to enlarge it)
Cut and paste each of the 5 lists in, and click “import” each time.
Which pets should I flip?
Try not to spend too much gold on buy for resale. Never buy anything unless you are sure of a sale.
Any item being repeatedly posted for sale for a high price does not mean that item is WORTH that much.
Watch your Auction House.
Focus on a few favourite pets at first, and learn their prices on your server
Check out the Undermine Journal and WoWuction.com to backup your research
Buy when you’re ready, then level, and sell.
Better than buying, is acquiring without paying gold. Even if that means doing a few Argent Tournament dailies, or flying to Outland to pick up a pet from a vendor there.
