Newman’s Landing
Once empty, in 2008 Newman’s Landing welcomed a retired goblin ‘admiral’ who fishes off the pier.
He has the limited supply plans: Solid Iron Maul.
These plans are only available from 3 vendors in Azeroth.
Buy for 30s, sell for 50g.
It’s rather exciting discovering NPCs like this hidden around the world. I really enjoy discovering every part of World of Warcraft. I love the easter eggs like the Tauren Village near Ahn Quiraj, and the Vendor in Dalaran sewers. It’s even better when they have limited supply items to sell.

Hi, did the Newman’s landing easter egg get removed? I found the place but there are no vendors here only two booty bay goblins
Hi, he was there in earlier this month!
Hey, Thanks for the tips, as usual they ended up working. I think I spent like 50-100g on everything you suggested total plus the 45g for the winterspring cub and spent an hour and a half online, I walked away with an extra 350g and more incoming =) I wish I had the money for your teen’s gold guide =)
Catherine, can you please drop me your email address, via the Contact form? I just might have a spare copy lying around looking for a home xxx
Ha… Man I wish. I been checking/reading/trolling(?) several gold blogs for a few months. 90% of the time anything mentioned, I go check UMJ for my low pop server, and never the case 🙁 Everyone is C-H-E-A-P lol. I spent who knows how long on a dark whelpling… not been seen in so long UMJ just said ‘long ago’. I gently been lowering price, but now buttheads have it up for 8k! I put it in the bank needless to say.
The above won’t work on my server either. Neither does about 8/10 of stuff I think of or read about and check. I think I’m on an impossibly small server to make G (though I’ve only been trying for several months and about up to 40k)
But I do always check back with ya and other blogs…
P.S. I worked with a lot of people with affiliate blogs, small businesses… if you ever wanna “make more” with this site 😀
Hi Veronica
From my experience with low population servers, the amount of items available on the Auction House is the sticking point for gold making. It means that you need to spend more time than average in the old farming and gathering mode. Because half the time that you want something from the AH, it’s not there.
Low pop servers also tend to be more clingy with their gold, and will wait for an item to be posted several times before it actually bloody sells.
I reckon any limited supply recipe will work on any server, as long as you know there is a BUYER for it. Are the blacksmiths on your server just not the type who want to buy every possible pattern? Towards the end of an expansion is traditionally the time when bored crafters start to fill up the gaps in their list of craftables.
The other way that I made gold on a tiny server was to completely corner the market in one area. For example, to drive away all the other glyph sellers, or all the other flask sellers. If you get a good enough reputation, you can also contact the raid leaders for the largest raiding guilds and try and bulk-sell stuff to them.

PS please keep telling me things that “wont work” so that I can refine them and make them work 🙂
