Hexweave Bags for Azeroth
Did you hear about the Bags for Azeroth initiative?
We’re going to give away free bags and gold from us Warcraft veterans to the newbie Battle for Azeroth players!
We started off as a great idea and I purposefully gave the idea to the community.
WOW! We grew into “Heros Welcome”
Not just giving away bags now, but gold too. Not just individuals, but guilds are doing this together. Not just UK (hi!) but EU and NA.
I’m so proud of the way that other players have taken up the idea and ran with it. Even when I couldn’t join in because I got smacked in the face with depression, Stephmog and Debaucherie have shown their true strength in keeping this going.

“But Gold Queen, what if I can’t do any bags?”
Hexweave Bags from Garrison Guide
You can craft Hexweave bags for very low by using your Warlords of Draenor garrison.
You need:
- Tailoring character 100+
- Level 3 Garrison
- Follower “Fiona” or “Shadow Hunter Rala” follower with Herbalism trait (Super Easy. How? check wowhead! Fiona LINK Rala LINK )
- Tailoring ‘hut’ garrison building
For Hexweave Bags you’re going to need [hexweave cloth] and [sorcerous earth].
Hexweaved cloth is on a cooldown for tailors but you can get more, much more, from a tailoring building in your garrison
I asked my friend and gold maker Arnota to explain:
The tailoring building with the follower will give you 4 hexweave per work order instead of 2 and will give you sorcerous water and air, you also get water or air with the daily cooldown. The herb garden with a follower will allow you to pick the herb you want each day, Gorgrond flytrap is useful since you need it for daily hexweave cooldown
Hexweave Bags from your Garrison Step By Step
Step 1: Assign your herbalist follower to your garrison herb garden. (Walk to the herb garden and ask them to produce Gorgrond Flytrap.)
Step 2: Assign a tailoring follower to your level 3 garrison tailoring building.
Step 3: At your barn, take out the strong trap and travel to Nagrand. Kill elite wolves (not clefthoof, these give leatherBb) and bring back [Caged Mighty Wolf]. Turn them in to get [Sumptuous Fur] from your level 3 barn
Step 4: Prioritise your tailoring “Rush Order” quests at the garrison table
Step 5: Regularly pick up the Hexweave from your tailoring building.
Step 6: Learn the [Hexweave Bag] pattern from the tailoring trainer. It costs 5 [Secrets of Draenor]
Final Step: Craft your Hexweave Bags and set them aside for the start of Battle for Azeroth.
How much do Hexweave Bags cost?
Missing Sorcerous Earth?
Your alchemist can transmute any sorcerous to another so you can transmute air and water for earth
Hate your Garrison?
Arnota says “If people are worried about checking their garrison every 3 days they can make the storage building and it allows them to put in work orders for 5 days”

After WoD, I changed all my alts to have the trading building to get mats. I got the treasure missions which changed from gold to garrison resources, got as many followers with that trait for running the missions. Sometimes 4000 garrison resources / day, not typically though. I periodically go back to the garrison with alts as the mood strikes and do the mission thing, get my 500 garrison resources waiting, then check to see if there’s fur on sale. trying not to hit the 10,000 resources limits, My alchemist transmutes the air & water from the tailoring building and make bags when my bank fills up. I have 2 tailors and all my toons have 30 sloters except for 36 professions bags. I still have herbs to burn from WoD but, gathering on a few alts can quickly give what I need.
Thank you for the excellent guide once again, but i would like to add a little bit of info where you can make so much more Hexweave cloth.
Whenever Calvo Klyne, the fur trader visits your garrison. go to him and buy the Primal Weaving pattern. This will allow you to craft 2 Hexweave anytime you want for the cost of 1 Primal Spirit and 10 Sumptuous Fur.
If you are like me and love to farm those Tamed Clefthhod’s, you will get a ton of Sumptuous Fur and Raw Beast Hide (as long as you’re a skinner as well). Do this farm in a group and you will get tons of fur in no time.
For the primal spirits, you can trade any Draenor Herbs, ore, raw beast hid or dust at the right vendor when it comes to your garrison! (what i do with the Primal Spirits on my other characters is then trading 15 of them for 1 sorcerous earth. If you have an alchemist you can buy the catalysts instead for 5 primal and transmute the other sorcerous that you get at your tailor cooldown into earth).
Try to unlock the inn level 3 on all your characters so you can make the most profitable missions. What i then do is trade the resources for whichever crafting material is the cheapest at the trader outpost. (it’s the one that only costs 16 resources, either is ore, herb, dust or fur). You can then send those mats to your tailor so he can trade them at the right vendor for those nice spirits. (it takes 5 of each to get one primal spirit).
So in conclusion, you will try to get resources on your alts to trade for the cheapest mats, send them to your tailor to trade for spirits, and then use the Primal Weaving to make lots and lots of Hexweave cloths without the cooldown.
Oh and you can get some spirits too by using your mine and herb garden, so i would level them to 3 as well, if you don’t mind the daily farm.
Assuming that these bags will be worth a lot of money at the BFA launch, it will hopefully pay off.
Happy goldmaking 🙂
