I was attacked last week by 5 men. It was such a shocking severe attack that I’m writing this from hospital. It even made the national newspapers. (The Sun / The Mirror) I’m officially out of action and the blog is being cared for by  Warcraft Econ.

So here I am, in a complete f_cking mess, and its natural to wonder just how important is wow gold compared to life and death. War, rape, starvation?

It’s essential. Play is an essential relaxation, in whichever form you enjoy. Add in the social aspect. I know several disabled gamers whose lives were bleak before Azeroth. Then we have intellectual stimulation. Hand eye coordination. Play is good for you.

There is something very special about wow gold gamers. We refuse to solely follow the prescribed paths of questing, raiding, Pvp or roleplay as our exclusive measurement of success and achievement. We are ambitious, self sufficient, non-conformists. Woah.

A parable.

As a child, you’re told “eat all your dinner, children are starving in Africa”. How does eating all my dinner benefit or hinder them !? The best response is to gratefully nom your dinner, and offer regular help to a charity that can help those hungry. Throwing your dinner away solves nothing.

So my lesson today is enjoy making world of warcraft gold. Treasure what you have. Be grateful for your luck.

Instead of your next cup of coffee, donate a few £ or $ to www.justgiving.com/rapecrisisengland-Wales/donate (charity 286098)

Hopefully I will be out of hospital in a few weeks and giving you new 4.3 guides. Pro-tip: hoard chaos orbs, cheap volatiles, and jc tokens.

No bastards will stop me doing what I love: making wow gold.

I don’t know you. But I love you. I wish you peace and a speedy recovery. I admire that you are being so strong through this ordeal, and hope and pray that the authorities go the extra mile in prosecuting the people that did this to you.

Ignore any negativity and hang in there. The good part of the wow community and Internet-at-large is pulling for you.

    *huge hugs*

Please, pretty please, I am begging you to have hope and the will to live period. Please take your skills from this successful blog and pour your rage, angst, and profound loss of free will into another blog. I believe any thing you write will be read and may save someone else from taking their life after a similar horrible experience. I add my prayers to the long list of others who care about your well being.

Sorry its almost impossible to get on internet from hospital, and I don’t have a release date yet.

Thank you for every single kind word, I promise they are gratefully received and healing.

Finally please don’t believe every word you read in the newspapers. You know they have to sensationalise and exaggerate and downright lie in order to sell papers, its just their job. The closest to the truth were BBC1 tv news and oddly this Austrian report

You readers are driving me on to get well soon. Court case is today, specialist consultant for my injuries is on 16th.

I was browsing through some old forums I used to read regularly and through some links stumbled into your site. This is my first time visiting and was shocked by this awful event. I wish you a fast recovery. I used to spend some time at JMTC over the year or two (although I’ve not been playing much WoW the past several months) and after reading through the comments below I’m glad that Markco is watching over things during your recovery. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

I’ve always enjoyed reading your blog; your writing is humorous, upbeat and always informative. I think what you say about wow is very true – those interested in gold making have essentially invented a new game within wow, with it’s own rules, strategies and communities: and it’s wonderful to read about it from you and others.

I’m afraid I don’t know you, but I was very sorry to hear about what happened to you, and can only wish you a full and speedy recovery.

  21. Markco
    Markco says:

When you tweeted me about what happened, I didn’t know how to react other than “OMFG ARE YOU OK!?” I am beside myself that such a terrible thing could happen to someone in the small community known as gold bloggers.

I think that I can speak for everyone when I say that you are in our prayers. I hope that your physical wounds heal quickly and that you are able to leave the hospital soon. Don’t overlook your mental wounds. You’re a remarkably strong woman but nothing can prepare someone for that extreme of an event.

I’ll do anything you want for the site, just say the word. But most importantly, I would like to see you getting better and back to enjoying life.
