How to Mail To Your Alt Using TSM
Trade Skill Master 3 allows you to mail items across to your alts.
You can sort your items into groups according to rules you specify, and only send that group.
For example, you could decide to post all your Salvage Yard items on the AH until a maximum number of expires. (see series on Salvage Yard Crate green armor sales)
Then to sell the expired items to a vendor EXCEPT the ones that are worth more as disenchanted materials. (see guide on how to vendor items in a group)
The items left in your bags
- have expired over the specified number of times
- are worth more as disenchanted mats than to a vendor
Therefore you want to mail them to your enchanting alt to disenchant them.
How to set up a Trade Skillmaster 3 mailing operation
Open your Trade Skillmaster 3 typing /TSM
Select the group that you want to put the operation on. In the example, we’re putting an operation on ‘greenies’.
Click the purple crystal ‘groups’, then choose the name of the group, and then choose the ‘operations’ tab.
Make sure that there are no mailing operations already associated with the group (TSM won’t be able to mail the same item to two alts!) then click ‘create new operation’.
Call it something like send_for_disenchant
Then simply tell TSM where to sell the item
Make sure that you have already vendored the items you want to vendor from that group, that the items in your bags are items you want to send to that character (in this example, to our enchanter character).
At the bottom, click the TSM_Mailing tab. Then at the top click TSM Groups. Click the group which your new mailing operation was attached to. Then “Mail Selected Groups”
If you want to test before you send, TSM has a feature that allows testing.
“Control Click to perform a dry-run where Mailing doesn’t send anything, but prints out what it would send (useful for testing your operations).”

The Gold Queen blog teaches you how to make gold playing World of Warcraft using ethical trading, auction house flipping, crafting, reselling snatch lists, and farming gold making.
What Would You Do If You Discovered Warcraft Players Were Saving For A Special Occasion?
They are.
Everyone is saving their gold, trying to reach a particular goal.
Everyone wants n thousand gold or x million gold BEFORE LEGION.
But the question is not “how do I get these people to give me their gold instead of hoarding it”
The question is what happens when Legion hits?
When Legion is released, these players, who have saved thousands or millions of gold, are ready to spend it.
[bctt tweet=”The first days, and months of Legion expansion are the best gold making times in WoW. ” username=”thegoldqueen”]
The first days, weeks and about 3 months of the Legion expansion are the best gold making times in game.
Should you wait until Legion?
NO
If you can make gold during the lean times, you can make even more during the fat times.
So what should you do?
- Make gold now. Pump your garrison for as much gold as possible before it is nerfed. Milk it.
- Prepare for Legion. Research it. Practice new skills that you will need, such as crafting or gathering. Get excited.

Gold Making with Professions, Flipping and Shuffle in Legion
Suramar has now been included in the Legion Alpha build, so I took a look around and started tweeting my thoughts about gold making in Legion. It struck me afterwards that I had tweeted so much they deserved their own blog post.
I’ve tried to keep this post as free from spoilers as possible, instead sticking to the “feel” of the changes to World of Warcraft rather than storyline or sight seeing, but there are one or two hints in here!
Suramar
Suramar zone is pretty but dangerous. Some of it looks very unfinished, so I hope they put more quirks in. Suramar city itself has packs of elites, so better farming later in expansion. Although there are some hints that this might be a level 110 daily zone.
Moon Guard Stronghold, in Suramar zone looks like an excellent place to farm, full of packs of humanoids at max level, but their drops aren’t great at the moment. It’s a spot I will continue to watch as it evolves.
World
If you remember the Mists of Pandaria gold making dailies. Legion feels like that. Except devs sneezed all over the map.
You’re going to be doing a lot of running from place to place to do quests, kill, hand in, on to next place. See pic!
For my prefered gold making spot, I’m still drawn to high mountain tho not yet found a good repeatable farm spot.
I think the challenge of Legion gold making will be creating efficient routes from beneficial area to quest to gathering to quest to home.
Professions
I’m not seeing herbs and ore yet in Suramar (zone) but mostly because I was watching the giant elite mobs I was trying to stealth past.
Ore used to be along mountains and ridgeways. I’m not sure if it’s fully implemented yet, but right now, it feels sparcer than in Warlords of Draenor, and oddly Skyrimish.
The changes to the ore and herb node types are very nice. It’s going to be a challenge for multiboxers to get to the herb ore nodes but I’m sure they will manage it. With each node now able to be harvested multiple times, multiboxing is the future.
I found the tailoring quest givers to be extremely rude. If you’re not a tailor they will dismiss you arrogantly.
I think archaeology got fun quests but not able to check yet.
The first aid is more fun but also totally nothing to do with gold.
I like the fishing in Legion. That will be a gold generator for sure.
The Surumar leatherworker trainer is not yet in, but the previous trainers were quite demanding.
Skinning quests make you return to old content. *SPOILERS*
I am seeing the rare trade material Blood of Sargeras a little more often with this Legion patch. This may just be for testing, and I will keep watching it.
Legion Daily Gold Making
Your daily base amount of gold e.g. from garrison is gone.
Gold makers you will be crafting, crafting, crafting, and flipping those rare and epic boEs. Farmers, back to transmog for you. The gold making from the world farming is going to come from daily quest rewards, and killing Broken Isle mobs in the hopes of those RNG BoEs for the AH.
Broken Isles will be out in 7.1. By the time 7.2 hits, you will know every cranny of this land. You will be in the field a lot.
Legion feels like the Warcraft Devs took everyone’s favourite parts of old expansions, and put them together. I wouldn’t be surprised if they even sneaked Ulduar in!
Shuffles
Reminder: Shuffle is when you take one item, add value to it, and turn it into another product. Such as prospecting ore into gems, then crafting cut gems.
There are going to be several profitable shuffles in Legion. I dont know what the best are yet, I can just smell them, feel them.
Alchemy transmutes are going to be the centre of the alt matrix that you will need to make maximum gold. Just like in Wrath of the Lich King, you will need several alts to maximise your gold making!
Oddest Legion Shuffle? Fish to Enchant Scrolls.
Yes, really.
Summary
Legion gold making reminds me a lot of the all you can eat buffet.
Promises a lot, but you spend a lot of time moving from plate to plate

Preparation for Warcraft:Legion Gold Making in April 2016
Prepare Your Bags And Your Inventory
- Dump your Warlords of Draenor trade mats and crafted gear.
- Keep producing raid consumables and gear enhancements (enchants, gems) until early Legion.
- Make extra guild banks if you need to hold extra transmog gear for sale in Legion.
- Take stock of your inventory, check for mounts and pets from late 2015 purchases, they should be maturing for sale now, eg Minion of Grumpus, Sinister Squashling, Grumplings.
- Divide up your stock for potential transmog sales and find a place to store them.
- Clean up the number of auctions you sell. Come Legion launch day, you do not want to spend the day posting 5,000 auctions to noone who wants them!
Prepare your TSM or Auctionator
Or rather, prepare for some of your addons to stop working, at least temporarily. However hard addon developers work, some of the addons wont quite be finished in time for Legion, and might stall or cause problems.
It’s quite a challenge.
I’ve been through this with Quick Auctions and other old addons lost in the mists of time.
You can prepare by
- Watching and memorising prices of things as you post them instead of just spinning that Post All TSM Macro Wheel
- Researching a few items in AH that you can always buy and always sell (flip) at a good price. Perhaps your thing is pets, or cloth. Mine is mid-level herbs.
- Noticing which items TSM3 tells you are profitable, and be prepared to craft them without the support of TSM, just in case
Prepare your Professions
Do you have enough gatherers for the early Legion rush?
Every expansion, the first few days of raw trade materials trading is frantic.
Players are desperately trying to get their crafting professions maxed and be the first with the best gear, or be the first with the new item for sale on the AH.
If you dumped your herbing, mining and skinning in WoD and you haven’t leveled your fishing, then you are going to be paying too much for your mats, and possibly taking a loss on your crafts.
I’d advise you to have at least one of each gathering profession (herbing, mining, skinning, fishing, archaeology even!) leveled to max before you start Legion. Blizzard have also changed the way that your crafters will increase their levels in professions, with three tiers for each item, and this does involve a lot of questing, exploring, and killing mobs out in the open world. So if your alts are simple Garrison clickers right now, you need to take this preparation time to go learn or relearn how to play their classes. You’ll thank me later when a quest suggests your ex-Garrison-babe has to go kill a hundred harpies or similar.
Buy items from Snatch Lists
I do not have a definitely Legion Prep snatch list yet, but I will hope to share one when it’s finished. In the meantime, check out items that you can get during WoD that you won’t get during Legion. Look specifically at pets and mounts. Search for them in the Legion Alpha Build Notes to see whether they might be changing in Legion. Don’t get bitten. And whatever you do, do not put all your eggs in one basket. Be diverse in your stockpiling.
Reminisce About The Good Old Days
Gold making in Legion is going to be less like Warlords of Draenor gold making, and more like Mists of Pandaria, Cataclysm, or earlier. Thank goodness. But if you are a WoD baby who has had gold handed to you on a plate by the garrisons, then go look back at some of the old content to get an idea what it was like to make gold in earlier expansions.
- Think flipping
- Think crafting
- Think shuffling
- Think gathering
You can get a headstart by checking my 101 guides blog post.
Get as much gold from your garrison now, while you still can
I count 157 days until Legion comes out. Making 10,000g per day that is nearly 1.6 million gold still to be made.
There are now two ways to get hold of my Garrison Guide:
1: Straight purchase here through the website
2: as a “freebie” when you sign up to support me through Patreon
Salvage yards and other changes to Garrisons will be covered in another blog post, coming SOON. Quick Summary: bye bye gold

I’m finally following my dream and making a professional gold guide for sale.
We currently have the framework ready, some of the backend administration, and some of the video guides.
You can wait until Legion hits and buy the guide direct, or support me on my patreon NOW for access to the guide as it is being made.
I am aiming to make the best ever warcraft gold guide, using my experience as a ghost writer, my business degree, and my 9 years (ish?) experience of making gold.
If you would like in, I’d love to have you!
I’m going to be focusing on providing Legion Gold information in the Legion Gold Guide first, giving Patreons the lion’s share of the information, but you guys will not be forgotten here at the blog and I’ll keep you updated with more information on professions, quests, and garrison changes as they are solidified on the Legion Alpha servers.
The Gold Queen is written by Alyzande. With many level 100s, 9 years expertise in making gold, 11 garrisons, 17k+ achievements, 1593 days played, and over 37.8 million gold earned. ps it’s not gold making, but here is a macro to abandon all quests in your quest log to clean it out for Legion.
/run for i=1,GetNumQuestLogEntries() do SelectQuestLogEntry(i); SetAbandonQuest(); AbandonQuest(); end
Warcraft Gold from Children’s Week 2016
Children’s Week in 2016 is May 2nd to May 9th, 2016.
Gold with Pets from Children’s Week 2016
Do the quests in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, even if you have done them before. The rewards from “A Warden of the Horde/Alliance” offers:
- Curmudgeon’s Payoff reward, worth 5g only
- Scooter the Snail worth 8-10,000g, depending on level
- Mr Wiggles (piglet) worth 4-10,000g, depending on level
- Whiskers the Rat, worth 9-10,000g, depending on level
- Speedy (turtle), worth 3-8,000g, depending on level
- Pet Care Package (can contain perky pug costumes, Magical Pet Biscuit, and Flawless Battle-Stone 4-5000g)
Advice:
Choose one of each pet for each of your alts, so that you have all your bases covered. If the prices on one pet drop, then you have the others ready to sell, and can sell the low priced one later when prices improve. Only buy for flipping if you spot an exceptionally low priced item and you’re very confident of a buyer.
Shattrath Quests offer more pets!
- Willy, worth 6-9,000g, depending on level
- Peanut, worth 9-11,000g, depending on level
- Egbert, worth 6-11,000g, depending on level
- Legs, worth 24-30,000g, depending on level
Advice:
It might look like a no-brainer to get Legs on all your alts, but check the prices in your own Auction House on your own server before you make a choice. If you do find any pets particularly low price you could try flipping those instead. Alternatively, you could sell Legs on another server by logging an alt on another server, and caging your pet for sale there instead.
If you’re looking to level your pets, use the Squirt Garrison Pet Leveling Guide
Gold with Professions from Children’s Week 2016
The achievement ‘Bad Example’ requires you to stuff your face with sweets and cake in front of your starving orphan.
Some of the items are easily obtainable, others are going to be much rarer, and that’s where we’re going to set to work to make a shedload of gold.
You’re going to need:
- Tigule and Foror’s Strawberry Ice Cream
- Red Velvet Cupcake
- Lovely Cake Slice
- Dalaran Doughnut
- Tasty Cupcake
- Delicious Chocolate Cake
- Dalaran Brownie
You can get the red velvet cupcake, dalaran donut, dalaran brownie and lovely cake from the cake vendor at the northern bank in Dalaran, and the icecream from a childrens week vendor at the banks in Stormwind and Orgrimmar.
Cooking
The tasty cupcakes and delicious chocolate cake needs to be cooked by a chef with the recipes.
If you don’t have them yet, you could either work on getting them by Children’s Week, or you could find a friend or business partner to cook for you, preferably now before they get cheesed off making all the cakes that will be in demand in a few weeks. All the ingredients are found easily enough at cooking vendors or innkeepers, with two exceptions.
Gold from Farming in Children’s Week 2016
Pick up the Northern Egg from the Rocs in North Scholazar Basin, Northrend (they look like brown eagles) or from Dragonbone Condors which look like vultures and hang around bones in clusters in Dragonblight, Northrend.
Small Eggs can be farmed from low level birds in Vanilla content: Good places are Westfall, Dragonhawks in Eversong Woods,
You also need Mageroyal for delicious chocolate cake. Farm some mageroyal with your herbalist in Hillsbrad or Darkshore.
Gold with Auction House Flipping in Children’s Week 2016
Northern Eggs usually cost 1g, but can sell for 20g or more. Buy now, resell during Children’s Week
Small Eggs usually cost 20s, but can sell for up for 50g!
Buy these now, picking off the cheap supply on your Auction House. Alternatively, hire a friend or guildie to farm these for you, offering him an enticing “double the current AH price”, then resell them for a profit.
Gold from Selling Packages in Children’s Week
Buy and package a bundle together of all the cakes and candy plus your tasty cupcake and delicious chocolate cake – everything you need to complete the achievement and advertise it for sale as a whole package on Trade Chat. Of course, this depends on your skills at barking in trade chat.
/2 WTS all the cakes and candy for [Bad Example] including tasty cupcake and choc cake. 250g for full package!
Why 250g? Small Eggs @ 1-10g each x 8 plus mageroyal plus milk and port (yuck?) from vendors makes delicious cake worth 10g-200g. That’s where I found my starting figure of 250g for the entire package. What price will you charge?
Gold with Services in Children’s Week 2016
You can make gold with services as a PVPer, especially if you are part of a good team. I was luckily able to complete School of Hard Knocks achievement in the first week.
- Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm
- Assault a flag in Arathi Basin
- Assault a tower in Alterac Valley
- Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch
By selling services, you can charge players for temporarily joining a team of highly skilled PvPers in battlegrounds. Protect your buyer while they complete the four parts of the achievement.
Which Gold Guide for Children’s Week is right for you?
Only you know whether your strengths lie in farming, crafting, pvp, flipping or barking in trade chat. Whichever you choose, good luck and do report back how much gold you make!
