How to use this inspiration
Consider:
1: Where do they come from? Where can I get one of these? How much do they cost? Are they easy to make? What is stopping other players from getting them?
2: How much do they cost? How much do they cost (in gold, time, effort) to acquire, compared to how much they might sell for?
3: How much profit could I make if I copied this? Are they selling at this price because they’re rare? Has the market been manipulated? Can they be flipped? (bought for resale) Can guildies or alts make some for you to sell?

How to Find the Magic Felslate Cave
Leystone Ore and Felslate Gathering in Suramar
But Gold Queen, I need lots and lots of ore, and I don’t want to bot.
Have no fear, the mining guide is here!
At this cave in Suramar you can farm lots of
- Felslate
- Leystone Ore
and you might get
- Blood of Sargeras
- Leather
- Artifact Power
- Meat
- Starlight Rose
When I say lots I mean lots
The best place to mine in the Broken Isles is in Suramar, on a cliffside, which also has the “Magic Felslate Cave”
The hillside looks like this
Just look at all those ore nodes!
You can find the cave here, west of Moonguard Stronghold, just next to the border with Val’Sharah
The area is populated with satyrs and nightmare grizzly bears.
You can also get highborne chests here, and farm starlight rose. Ideal if you are a dual gatherer.
What’s so great about this Magic Felslate Cave?
- Lots and lots of ore nodes spawn nearby
- Inside the cave there are THREE ore seams
- There is usually one seam and one normal node available in the cave. If there is less than one normal node in the cave, it means someone just cleaned it out.
- Outside the cave and above the cave is a very great concentration of ore nodes
- By server hopping, you can create the illusion of ore respawning before your eyes, allowing endless farming without moving far
- Dependable ore nodes
Felslate and Leystone Ore Farming Tips
- Farm during the daytime, or before/after raid time.
- Don’t farm after 2am at night, because the area is filled with bots, especially starlight rose bots, and there are less Suramar groups to use for server hopping.
- If there are a small number of available realms, then take your time exploring each one.
- If there are lots of groups up in Suramar, and lots of realms available, then target the areas where the ore nodes spawn the most
- Get hold of a good gathering addon. I’m currently using Gathermate 2, and my maps are available to patreon supporters through Legion Gold guide.
- Finish farming your own realm/server before using server hop to move to another sever. Otherwise when you come back you might find all your ore has been taken!
- Look out for basilisks, living leystone/felslate that spawn from the nodes. They give you extra loot.
- If you are a double gatherer, with herbalism, then you will be in gathering heaven, with starlight roses spawning absolutely everywhere nearby. If you’re a skinner, kill and skin the bears in the cave.
- Look for the seams in the cave.
- Look out for ancient mana crystals nearby, I’ve been selling them for up to 1000g each on the Auction House!
- Not sure which server you are on? Drop a cooking fire on the ground in the cave of your home realm, and look for it when you hop.

Sky Golem Gold for Engineers
Sky Golems were solid gold for Engineer crafters at the beginning of Legion.
With a sky golem mount, players can harvest herbs without dismounting.
Now that flying is released in Legion, with patch 7.2, sky golems can also fly around the Broken Isles.

By the way, see that exclamation mark next to Standard Deviation (!)
That means that the item is a great item to consider for flipping, buying at a low price on the Auction House and re-selling at a high price.
Materials
Jard’s Peculiar Energy Source, Bind on Pickup, crafted once per day (per engineer alt!). Costs 10 ghost iron bars
Craft it every day on every engineer character, don’t forget. Add it to your daily list.
Living Steel
Alchemy transmute, 6 trillium bars or 3 bars and 3 spirits of harmony
The daily cooldown of 6 trillium bars is slightly cheaper to craft.
If you do not have an engineer alt, you can still profit from the rush for Sky Golems.

Look for this item in Pandaria
Schematic: Chief Engineer Jard’s Journal drops from mobs in Pandaria, try picking it up while farming Siege of Orgrimmar or Throne of Thunder.

Flipping Mounts for Profit in World of Warcraft
Bind on Equip Mounts are a sure seller, and big ticket expensive items.
Mount selling is not for beginners, but only because they cost so much gold to buy and a mistake in pricing could be an expensive loss.
Warcraft BoE mounts
Some of these are craftable mounts, some are from events, some come from the trading card game, and some are even farmable, but all can be bought and sold on the Auction House in World of Warcraft.
Creating a Mounts group in TSM
Once you have downloaded Trade Skill Master , open the groups tab
Give your new group a name (eg Mounts)
Choose Import/Export
then paste in the string into the Import String area

How to buy Mounts on the Auction House
Add an operation to your new group,
Go to the group, click the Operations tab. Look for the ‘Shopping‘ option. It should say <No Operation> Click ‘Create New Operation’.
Give it a name (such as buy_mounts)
TSM will check you want to add this shopping operation to the Mounts group.
Set up your purchase options
Set the Maximum Auction Price (per item) to something like 85% dbmarket
You will need to experiment and see what returns you get with the setting, and then you will need to adjust it so that it works on your server with your customers. Make sure you don’t just leave it at 85% and that you adjust it!
tick the ‘Include in Sniper Searches’ if you’re into sniping!
How to sell Mounts on the Auction House
Add an operation to your new group
Go to the group, click the Operations tab. Look right at the top for the Auctioning section. It should say <No Operation> Click ‘Create New Operation’.
Give it a name (such as sell_mounts)
TSM will check you want to add this Auctioning operation to your Mounts group.
Set up your auctioning options:
Most of the options are under the Post tab
Set an auction duration (such as 48 hours), and set the post cap to 1, you don’t want to spam and flood the AH with mounts for sale. Players generally buy one mount at a time. Unless they are flipping them, in which case you have your prices wrong and don’t want to sell them more than one anyway!
Stack size 1
Keep quantity 0
Max expires 0
Set a price in your minimum, maximum and normal price boxes. I suggest using a percentage of the dbmarket,

Remember! Do not use my settings, these are examples only, you need to experiment, and check what prices are for the mounts on your server, whether they are rising, falling or staying stable (I’m going to guess rising!)

How to make a profit with mounts in world of warcraft? This one is easy: sell them for higher than the price you paid for them!

Making Gold by Standing Around in Dalaran
Did you know?
In Dalaran, you can find items on the streets that you can put on the AH?
I’ve always told you to never stand around doing nothing in capital cities.
But here is the exception!
A secret quest was found that allows you to bring your Mists of Pandaria Tillers <Dog> from your Warlords of Draenor garrison to the Dalaran (Broken Isles) pet shop.
For us gold makers, though, there is another aspect to this sweet story that is appealing.
The [Pebble] you can find on Dalaran’s street is not bind on pickup, not unique, and can be sold on the Auction House.
The Undermine Journal puts the price in NA servers at 5,000g but please be aware that this price will drop very quickly because
1 There are unlimited numbers of pebbles to be found on the Dalaran streets,
2 Once you have used a pebble to entice Dog to Dalaran, you can put the pebble on the Auction House afterwards.
EU server prices have fallen to 2,500g already
Yet even if the price falls to 100g or less, these pebbles are free for the taking, and easy to put on the Auction House.
Pick up a few today and try them on your Auction House.
How to sell Pebbles on the Auction House
It would be a good idea not to advertise these on your trade chat channel, because you will certainly get someone immediately mentioning that you can pick them up for free in Dalaran. Just post them up on the AH along with your other goodies for sale and hope that you get lucky.
Don’t post more than one or two at a time.
Don’t flood the market.
Don’t ruin the perceived value.
Where to get Pebble in Dalaran
Kruithne from twitter (yes, that Kruithne who recently did the awesome “Holding out for a Healer” machinima recently) uploaded a map to imgur
Pebbles are tiny, you need to zoom in and look very closely at the ground but after you have spotted the first few, they become easier to locate.

Farming Nethershards
Nethershards are a new currency for patch 7.2 at the Broken Shore
Originally used in the Legion pre expansion event, Nethershards are back.
This time they can be used to purchase all sorts of new items, including armor tokens for upgrades.
For us gold makers, the nethershards can be used to buy
Technique: Glyph of Wrathguard for scribes / inscription
BoE Nethershard Essence, a legendary item for crafting the new BoE legendaries. Can be sold on the Auction House
Farming Nethershards from Sentinax Portals
When you’re at the Broken Shore, follow the quest chains, which award nethershards. Once quests are completed, you might want to farm some more nethershards
these are for these things, which can sell for good gold, dependant on competition and how hard you work on sales, reposting, undercutting, and advertising.
What else can you get?
- Bind on Equip greens
- Netherchunks – bop item with 100 nethershards when opened / clicked
- Shal’dorei Silk
Where to farm
Broken Shore
Underneath the Sentinax, a Legion rocket ship that hovers over the Broken Shore zone. It moves from place to place over the shore. Run to the area underneath the ship, and wait for the buff to appear
With the buff above your head, start killing mobs.
The mobs have a chance to drop Sentinax Beacons. These beacons, when activated, open portals in your area and out pour demons. The demons range in power from solo-able to some which require a small group.
Beware this area of AoE which rains from the sky.
Wyrmtongue Cache Keys
Following the quest line given in the Broken Shore area by the treasure hungry goblin will open up a cave. Once unlocked, you can reach it by clicking on the rope under the tree in the same place you completed the quest.
The wyrmtongue sells keys which unlock chests, much like the cave from the Timeless Isle back in Mists of Pandaria expansion. The chests have a chance to drop loot, mostly nethershards, but there is a pet and a toy that can be found here.
As well as the Cache Key, he sells a keystone and a disguise essence.
Alternative ways to gather shards:
World Quests in a zone with a Patch 7.2 Legion Invasion
Head out into the Broken Isles when a Legion Invasion is active in the zone and the world quests there will reward nethershards as well as gold. Remember to take your class order hall bodyguard with you if you have equipped him with items that give extra gold per quest completed.
Farming Nethershards from Wyrmtongue Caches
These hidden wyrmtongue caches are simple treasure chests that spawn around the Broken Shore.
They can also hold Artifact Power, Dauntless tokens (850 armor), greys for vendoring, order resources, and legionfall resources.
