Ore Crusher
WoW Spreadsheet v2.0
>Did you see Ore Crusher addon featured in mmo champion 1st February? Did you know that Ore Crusher got updated to version 2 on February 4th?Ore Crusheris an in-game spreadsheet developed by Fusionpit and available from both Curse and WoW Interface, showing you results from prospecting and disenchanting.
It’s a simplified version of the Spreadsheet that Killed them all, and it’s usable in game, no need to tab out and fire up your spreadsheet. I reviewed the Ore Crusher Basics two weeks ago.
How to use Ore Crusher
Browsing the internet, there are very few guides for Ore Crusher, because it is just so simple to use. Ore Crusher hows you expected results from prospecting and disenchanting, raw values of gems, transmute values, and max profit values.
Fire it up, using /oc /theoc or /orecrusher, input your ore price/stack, number of stacks, and click DO IT. Ore Crusher populates the gems and other prices from your Auction addons.
It can pull prices from Auctioneer, Auctionator, AuctionLite, AuctionMaster or Trade Skill Master. Set your preferred Auction Addon in the options window. Ore Crusher will even automatically enable selection of only the mods you have installed.

Ore Crusher Tips
- Mouse over a green name for additional information via tooltip.
- “Total with DE” and “Total with Transmute” show both revenue and profit on each line.
Ore Crusher Trouble shooting
Q) All the values are “-“!
A) Your auction addon isn’t scanned by OreCrusher until you press one of the “Do it” buttons. After inputting the price and number (and you only have to input the number of stacks, but The O.C. will not scan ore prices for you) just press the corresponding button and feel the magic!
Q) I can’t seem to get prices for anything!
A) Currently, a GetAll scan of the Auction House may not return all the info that it should. If you’re experiencing pricing issues, be sure to do a normal, slow scan using your auction addon. If your addon does not have a slow scan option, you will need to manually search for each item that does not have a price. Keep an eye on your preferred addon’s website for more information regarding this issue and possible fixes.
Q) I get prices, but they’re slightly off!
A) If you are seeing slight variations between the price listed by Ore Crusher and the price on the AH, the most likely cause is someone bought or listed additional items in the time between the scan used by The O.C. and looking at current AH data. You may also be experiencing the undercut option of your auction addon at work.
New Ore Crusher Version 2.0
Features
- New transmute window! Shows uncommon to rare transmute values.
- New options window! Set Multipliers, UI Scale, even pick your auction addon easier than ever!
- Reconfigured DE window! Some additional pricing shown.
- Expanded tooltips for DE and Transmute Totals. Now clearer, and with additional information.
- Max Ore Stack Price now shown in the lower right corner. Shows how much you can spend up to on the ore that you just DID.

Hello I’m Lynnora and I stumbled upon the Gold Queen [I was playing my bank alt in the Exodar – TGQ] near the mailbox shortly after transferring my toons to another server. Since competition can best be kept a friend, we have since shared many ideas with one another.
I’ve been playing Warcraft for over six years now, and mathematics and scheming have always been my greater talents. A pizza never tastes as good as when you just culled your competition!
With just limited playtime, I tend to spend most of my online time within the Auction House, finding and searching for bargains, and trying to punch my fellow competitors knock-out.
In this guest post, which I’m honored to be asked to write, I will share some Pet Selling Secrets with you that you may not have thought of yet!
Dealing Pets Cross-Faction
Though your own faction’s pets may be selling on your Auction House, think of dealing with the enemy: the Horde’s pets sell for more on the Alliance Auction House and vice versa. This does however require you to use two accounts as I do, or a friend that may be willing to get your pets off the Neutral Auction House as you can not bid or buyout your own auctions.
The Argent Tournament pets
Especially now Wrath of the Lich King has come to an end and barely any players are farming the Argent Tournament dailies, they have become overly rare and unique.
For 40 Champion’s Seals each, you can choose from the following Alliance pets:
And for the Horde, you can choose any of the following:
For both factions, the Shimmering Wyrmling is purchasable at exalted reputation with either the Silver Covenant or the Sunreavers.
Purchasing these pets however, does require you to play out the whole of the Tournament and gain enough reputation to do so, making these pets hard enough to obtain to place them high on the Auction House price list. Possibly too time-consuming if your character has not seen the Tournament yet or did not play during late WotLK, but if your Tournament-toon is standing idly gathering dust in Dalaran still, perhaps you now found a job for him!
Another option is to swap out these pets between factions through the Cross Alliance Auction House. However, this requires help of a friend or a second account.
I have been selling the Horde pets for approximately 5000 gold on the Alliance Auction House and though they rarely sell, when they do, I do a little dance in front of my computer. The further we move from the Wrath of the Lich King era, the more these will become worth in value.
As with all not-so-commonly sold and known items, put a small add on the Trade Channel, announcing that you are selling these pets on the Auction House. Make your product known, wanted, and expand your market!
Engineering Pets
Since patch 3.3.3 engineers, regardless of specialization, can learn both the schematics of Lil’ Smoky and the Pet Bombling, respectively dropped by a trash mob named Arcane Nullifier X-21 and the boss Mekgineer Thermaplugg in the oh-so dreaded dungeon Gnomeregan.
These still sell for quite a dime on most servers and though the list of materials is long, making them per 10 and stacking them in your guild bank is not much work once or twice a month.
In Cataclysm, two new pets were implemented for Gnomish and Goblin Engineers, however, at the moment as the prices of materials are still quite high early on in the expansion, they seem little to not profitable.
The Source of the Stormspire
In Burning Crusade, an exotic creature vendor was placed in the beautiful Stormspire, in Netherstorm. Dealer Rashaad sells pets mostly already known to us, but with a just slightly different coloring scheme or skin.
They sell well on the Auction House, and if you park a toon in the Stormspire, or wage a monthly trip to Netherstorm, supply isn’t all that difficult.
The Darkmoon Faire Frogs
Frogs sold on the Darkmoon Faire are the Wood Frog Box (limited supply from the vendor and thus possible to charge more) and the Tree Frog Box.
During days the Faire is up, they sell for less than during days the Faire isn’t set up, so you may want to hold on to these until after the Faire leaves town.
Happy pet-selling!
Lynnora.

Hoarding in your World of Warcraft Bank
Did you too buy a dozen razzashi hatchling for 500g, and tome of polymorph: turtle for 1,000g, and looked forward to making a lot of gold at the auction house? And now you refuse to sell them for 50g each? I need to tell you: those prices are not going to go back up again! Even allowing for the rules of MUDflation, they’re not going to reach 500 and 1,000 again. You need to get those albatrosses you are carrying around your neck! Those storage slots are being wasted. Inefficiency is one thing that makes me froth at the mouth. As the Worgen say: you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry, heh.
The number one reason you refuse to sell something at a loss is your ego. Taking a loss is not easy to do. It means accepting you got it wrong. Reader, if you want any gold, you need to tell your ego to shut up just for a moment.
Sometimes, guildmates tell me “I’m going to try and have a go at making some gold on ..” and name some item they think will double in price. Magecloth, Briarthorn, Volatile Air. They buy some up, and hold on to it for a few weeks, eagle eyes firmly on their market, and maybe they sell a few, and get all excited and buy some more, or maybe the market falls slightly, so they hang on to their stock.
Let me pluck my pocket jedi master from my pocket, ah hello Yoda. Do, or do not. There is no try. (Now you’re wondering how I fit Yoda in my pocket, the secret is enormous bags, but I’ll come to that in another post!)
What’s the difference between a gambler who loses gold, and an investor who makes gold? To quote The Naked Trader
[box type=”warning”] Quite Simple: a market gambler is itching to trade and press that exciting deal button. And gamblers make up 90% of accounts that lose[/box]
Did you read something on a gold blog like this, or dip into a gold making guide and hear confident words “buy X Y or Z now!” and then blow 1,000g in the investment, then wonder why you lost all your gold, and stash it in the bank for when it “comes back up”?
It aint gonna come back up! You didn’t make an investment, you took a gamble, and you lost.
The difference between a gamble and an investment is a trading plan. Have you actually investigated the item you bought? Its past as well as what might happen in the future? Do you know what you use the item for, and how many people might want it? Come back when you’ve got a plan.
Stop gambling. And go sell the crap in your bank before you make an even bigger loss, because Aunty Gold Queen said so.

3 Reasons to Store in your World of Warcraft Bank
Emotional Bloopers
When you’ve seen a high price on a cut gem, and got too excited and you’ve jewelcrafted more than will sell. There’s no point in posting over 10 of each gem type. You’ll just devalue the market. You know you’ll get undercut the moment your back’s turned anyway!
Also, the bargains and rare items impulse bought for resale. You might want to take them off the radar for a short while to increase perceived rarity, but the warning is someone else might post another item in the meantime use your judgement.
Blizzard Bloopers
Whenever temporary over-supply of item is falsely increasing prices. The last few days, Whiptail has been in such abundance, the price has fallen hard. Blizzard has now apparently hotfixed Whiptail spawn rates in Uldum, and so this very minute would be a good time to buy out the low price whiptail before the prices rise again.
Yes, buy, not farm, due to opportunity cost. Herbs, ore, trade mats, fish, leather etc etc should be picked up if you happen to pass nearby in the course of a quest, but farming gives a low gold:time yield and it’s cheaper to buy on AH.
Gold Makers don’t tell you this because if everyone stopped farming, we wouldn’t have anything on AH to buy!
Speculate to Accumulate
For holding items when you expect them to rise in value. Eg super rare items, items they are taking out the game and pyrite.
Pyrite is expected to yield epic gems in future patch. If this is true, you’ve netted yourself a fortune. If not, then you can still prospect or smelt the ore to make gold.
