Server transfer for gold makers
Transfering your character gold from one realm server to another requires preparation. Character cross realm transfer is started at your battle.net account page. Regardless of your motivation for moving to a new server, you need to be ready to move your gold across to the new realm.
How much gold can I transfer cross realm?
- Level 10-30: 300 gold limit
- Level 31-50: 1000 gold limit
- Level 51-70: 5000 gold limit
- Level 71 – 80: 20000 gold limit
- Level 81+: 50000 gold limit
How can I transfer gold to a new server
Check the amount of liquid gold / currency that you have on your transfering character. If you want to transfer more than the gold limit amount across to the new server then you will need to do a little work.
Check your bag space. If you have very little bag space, and bag prices on the new server are higher than the current one, then now is the best time to upgrade your bags. Illusionary Bag are the biggest bags in game, 26 slots. (8 dreamcloth to craft)
Sell everything that your character can rebuy cheaply on the new server. Empty vials, thread, odd stacks of herbs, water, food that doesn’t give any buffs, bandages, lifegiving seeds, parchment, letters from guild mates (!), grey items… in order to give you the maximum amount of free slots.
When you have maximized the number of free slots that you can use this space to transfer extra items for selling at the new server.
Empty your mailbox before you transfer server
- Check your alts’ mailboxes.
- Does your bank alt have any items that you want to sell on another server?
- Are there any items in your main character’s bags that you do not want to transfer to the new server?
- You won’t be able to transfer your character to a new realm until you have emptied your mailbox.
Transfering 50,000 gold or more across servers
Buy for resale
Check the server and faction economy on the new realm. Buy things that are cheaper on your old server, and you will be able to resell them on your new server for a profit.
examples: BoE Epics, mounts: flask of vial of the sands, mechanohog chopper mounts, pristine hides, spellthreads, truegold, darkmoon faire decks/cards, and rare pets.
Rare items from WOTLK: Battered hilt, crimson deathcharger, tabard of lightbringer
Special tip: Transfering from Horde to Alliance? Try and work in your goblin discount, getting your vials and hogs cheaper!
Buy for Vendor
Suitable Items: Flipped/used Mysterious Fortune Cards are available as 5,000g cards, 1,000g cards, and the smaller but more common 200g card and 50g cards.
Can I get banned for transfering a lot of gold?
Never heard of it happening, but if you trying to transfer a lot of expensive epic items and your character has the max gold limit, and you have a history of a high number of server transfers, then don’t be surprised if your transfer takes a little longer than normal or that Blizzard watch your transfer or playstyle closely.

Why use easy buyout?
Easybuyout gives you a huge advantage over playing the Auction House with no addons, or even buying with Trade Skill Master: SPEED.
Yesterday, I wanted to buy about 1,000g worth of herbs to make inks for my scribe alt. I initially wanted to use TSM Shopping utility to buy the right mats, and TSM correctly identified that it would be cheapest to buy Cinderbloom at under 1g each and trade to the right inks at the ink trader. Then the fun started: buying with TSM is very slow, as if TSM rescans the auction page to check that the item is still the cheapest available, every, single, time, you, want, to, buy, something, zzzzz. Is your TSM as slow as mine? Maybe I’m missing something in configuring it, but to get back on the subject, I didn’t have the patience to wait for TSM to buyout the mats and I was glad that I had previously set up EasyBuyOut.
How to set up EasyBuyOut with Auctioneer?
EasyBuyOut is a utility module: part of Auctioneer, which you can download from Curse addon site, and is included as part of the Gold Queen auction and gold making addons pack.

How to use easy buyout
Using Easy Buyout is the most fun part! Almost, but not quite, as much fun as super-speed posting hundreds of glyphs on AH with modifier+mousewheel using TSM. Browsing the other gold blogs, you will have heard the term “AH PvP” but buying mats on AH with EasyBuyOut is “AH DPS“, due to the sheer speed that you can do the task. Instead of clicking your item, clicking buyout, then clicking the confirm box, Easy Buyout simplifies the entire process into a single modifier+rightclick. I use shift/rightclick combo as my control key is bound to vent push-to-talk and my guildies don’t want to hear my AH gleefully ding-ding-ding-ing as I buy thousands of mats, heh. So choose the option that you selected in the setup and simply click the item you want to buy. As long as it isn’t over the gold purchase amount, your item will be bought immediately. Cutting the clicks and mousing down by 1/3 increases the number of items you can buy by 3 (or more if you’re a click fiend), which is why I call it AH DPS! EasyBuyOut also has options for Bidding and Cancelling auctions that you can explore.
Summary
EasyBuyOut is easily overlooked part of Auctioneer which can save you time and wrist-ache. Â And when a bunch of extra cheap mats come up on the AH and you want to grab them before your competitors, those few seconds might just make you a few extra ‘g’s

I want to write a very brief post to thank Stokpile for all the world of warcraft gold blog posts.

How I did it can be summed up in one word and one word alone: Persistence. Don’t give up, don’t lose sight of your goal, and don’t compromise. That is probably the best advice that I or anybody else can ever give. If you want to hit seven figures then you have got to keep at it every day and that is just what I did. Stick out every drought in every market because no matter what, they will pick back up eventually.
