Where Can You Pick Up 1,000g Items Lying Around On The Ground?
You can fish up items worth over 1,000g right now in Broken Isles.
Not technically “lying around on the ground” but you do simply need to click to loot.
These prices are not going to hold so you need to get in on this fast.
You need:
- Fishing 700+
- Access to at least 1 zone in Broken Isles
What do Do:
- As soon as you hit Broken Isles, and enter (new) Dalaran for the first time, go straight down to the sewers/underbelly. If PvA (player versus all) is turned on and the sewer guards are away, then you can purchase a bodyguard for 5g.
- Go to the north of the sewers, where Madam Goya holds her Black Market Auction House. While you are there, check out the items!
- Look around for GREEN swirls in the water. Fish them until you receive an Emblem of Margoss
- Use the emblem and be teleported to Conjurer Margoss’ floating island.
- Fish until you get 10+ Drowned Mana
- Buy 10+ Arcane Lures
Then:
- Take your Arcane Lures out to the zones in Broken Isles: Highmountain, Val’Sharah, Azsuna, Stormheim, Suramar.
- Look for Schools of fish in the inland and coastal waters.
- When you find one, pop your Arcane Lure and fish.
Note that it does not give you 100% chance, but increases your chance by 100%. so if you have 5% chance, you get 10% chance.

How to sell the rare Legion fishing baits
Each of the baits are UNIQUE which means you can only have one at a time. So when you fish one up, mail it across to your alt, preferably your bank alt.
If you don’t have a mounted Argent Squire/Gruntling, then pick up a cheap GUMM-E at your Small Engineering Building in your Warlords of Draenor Garrison.
AH prices are currently between 600g-2,000g.
You need to sell these ASAP before the price drops.
Why do these Legion baits/lures sell?
These baits are used to fish up the rare fish that are a requirement for the Legion Fishing Pole / Fishing Rod Artifact “The Underlight Angler“.

Success with Fishing
I’m seeing some success with Fishing!
If you are fishing to make gold, I suggest you sell your Silver Mackerel today while the demand is still high. They are used for first aid, and the lowest demand food. Their prices will be down by the weekend.
On the other hand, you can fish up the rare baits that are needed to catch the rare fish for the fishing artifact and these can be sold on the Auction House without much competition.
Fishing went really fast! I’ve already got many of the fish I need for the fishing rod/pole artifact!

Success in Cooking
Being one of the first on my realm to put cooked food on the Auction House, I sold cooked food at a steady price, mostly fished up ingredients so far, but this will change over the next few days and weeks.
Success in Mining and Skinning
My miner had great success, following my highmoutain route that I planned in the beta. My favourite area to mine is currently at Sylvan Falls where you can even check out the nodes from the air as you take a flight path in from Dalaran. That saves you a few minutes running.
Ore went to level my Jewelcrafter up.
For Skinning, I haven’t got my skinning alt across to my prefered area in Stormheim, but I’m doing well running around all the leveling characters in Highmountain, picking up leather skins that they leave behind. I don’t even need to kill.
Nothing from Herbalism yet
I haven’t touched my herbalist gatherer yet, although I do have the gathermate2 data on all the herb nodes that I gathered in the Warcraft Legion beta. If you want a copy, you can gain access to Legion Gold Guide before release by supporting my work on Patreon
Success in Leatherworking
As I level up my leatherworking, I made lots of armor quite early in the day and that proved to be a hit on the Auction House. Peelyon on twitter reported his guild mate was having enormous success with leatherworking.
Success in RNG looting and the “kill everything that moves” method
Total luck involved in this sale, which came from the “kill everything and hope!” method of farming. RNG game me a nice ilevel 765 BoE epic cloak.
Success in Jewelcrafting
Gem Chips are used for fun food, and for the very first quest in Jewelcrafting, and pretty much nothing else. I’ll bet you 50g that they will be giving them away for free by October!
Sell them now while you can.
Other Tips
Do not throw everything away that you loot. Today I sold a grey I picked up in a chest in Azsuna
Remember:
You can get better prices for your trade goods depending on their stack sizes
If you are buying, then you should be buying OLD WORLD materials that are briefly going down in price while competitors focus on legion.

Find a Doomslayer you like and camp there. If you are demon hunter or a hunter you have sensing demons ability turned on or spectral sight before you speak with doomsayer or if not have elixir of sensing demons or cursed vision of sargeras leather headpiece from Black Temple.

Demon Hunters, every 30 second cooldown, pop your spectral sight and talk to the Doomslayer. You are looking for an extra dialogue option:
“There’s something not quite right about you…”.
Choosing this option transforms Doomsayer into the Dread Infiltrator with 16M hp, that can drop a Pocket Fel Spreader toy.

For readers who don’t enjoy camping, there is the option to flip.
Flipping means buy at a low price to resell at a higher price for profit.
Current prices are about 20,000g each in the US.
Pocket Fel Spreaders are available only during the Legion pre-patch event.
After August 30th they will no longer be available
(Although Blizzard may change their minds)
I am predicting 100,000g by next Summer, with prices increasing afterwards!

Preparation
At the follower in your garrison engineering, purchase some GUMM-E mailboxes for 1g 60s. Send them one by one to your alt (they also sell well on the AH).
Farming Lucky Shirts in Stormwind
Keep one on the character you will take to the Broken Shore scenario, and take them to Stormwind to begin the Alliance Broken Shore Scenario
Lenny “Fingers” McCoy is a lone figure standing by a large stack of first aid boxes, just after the Pandarian feast tables.

Unfortunately the Lucky Shirts are Bind on Equip and Unique, in other words, you can only have one in your bags/on your person at one time. What is a Worgen to do?
Pop the GUMM-E mailbox next to “Fingers” McCoy, and start purchasing shirts, one by one, and mail them individually to your alt/s.
I bought 30, and another one …. “for luck”
This trick will surely spread soon, so please buy your lucky shirts quickly, and mail them up before the price crashes.

Demon Hunter Launch
Demon Hunters are entering the World of Warcraft on August 9th.
Players have been preparing by picking names for their new characters, and reading up on Demon Hunter leveling specs and abilities.
Many players have bought bags in advance, which has contributed to a volatile hexweave bag market.
But most players have not made themselves a full preparation pack and you can profit from this.

Tenny @tenneiyl on Twitter has made their own Demon Hunter Pack, which gives you an idea what to put into it:
“Okay now I’m really done. Food, first aid, bags & LW – plus pots, flasks. No hp pots coz I’ll craft those. #Warcraft”

What to sell in your Demon Hunter Prep Pack
Professions
Cooking: Demon hunters can level their cooking using the fish flesh from your recent fishing spree in the garrison. Sell them 3-4 stacks of each fish. You could add in a few vendor recipes to sweeten the deal.
Fishing: One stack of shiny baubles, one stack of bright baubles, one strong fishing rod. All purchasable from vendor.
Archaeology: Warlords of Draenor Archeology pieces Draenor Clan Orator Cane, Ogre Missive, Arakkoa Cipher. 1-2 stacks of each.
Crafting: 10+ stacks of raw materials: Tailors need Sumptuous Fur; Leatherworkers need Raw Beast Hide; Alchemists need 4+ stacks of each herb plus crescent saberfish flesh; Blacksmiths and engineers need 10+ stacks of each blackrock ore and true iron ore; enchanters need a copper rod plus 1 stack each of luminous shard, temporal crystal, sorcerous earth, sorcerous fire; Jewelcrafters need a jeweler’s kit, plus stacks of ore plus 1 stack of each herb; and Scribes are mostly likely crying in the corner from their recent nerf. (If you can persuade them out, sell them 4-5 stacks of the cheapest herbs.)
Gathering: Demon hunters planning to gather may be pleased to see a mining pick, skinning knife, herbalist spade and so on in their pack.
Leveling
Bags 4 Hexweave bags for leveling. Another 7 for personal bank space.
Potions 2-3 stacks of health pots, 4 stacks of Draenor Agility Potion, 3 stacks of Draenor Agility Flask
Food Feast of the Waters. yum.
What not to include:
Transmogs, pets, toys, mounts – these are all BoA
Even if players do not have leather-wearing character already, they are likely to want to choose their own transmogs from the AH.
How to sell Demon Hunter Leveling Packs
Advertise now on trade chat, and in your official realm forums. Charge 150-200% of cost.
When you bark / advertise, let players know that you have everything covered, leveling and the different costs for different professions packs. For current prices check out wowuction.com
